practices for the precommissioning & commissioning of "Staircase Pressurisation System"through the guidelines contained herein so as to ensure that the job execution complies with the project requirements and serves the intended function to satisfactory level.

02 SCOPE :

This Procedure refers to various work methods contained within ETA Project Control documents,

which explains and covers the Precommissioning & Commissioning of "Staircase Pressurisation

System".

05 RESPONSIBILITIES :

5.1 The precommissioning & commissioning of Staircase pressurisation system shall be under direct

supervision of ETA Commissioning Engineer- HVAC while ETA Engineer in charge - HVAC

shall be responsible for overall commissioning works.

5.2 The ETA Safety Officer (SO) is responsible for ensuring safe working place, field personnelare working with safe equipment / tools and all safety established procedures are followed.

5.3 The ETA QA/QC Engineer (EQA) is responsible for checking the commissioning works to ensurethat agreed quality standards are maintained throughout commissioning. ETA QA/QC Engineer

(EQA) shall also be responsible for getting the works inspected and approved by ADNOC.

5.4. The HMR QA/QC engineer is responsible for checking the works prior to offering the same

for COMPANY inspection.

5.5. The preparation of precommissioning & commissioning preocedure is done by ETA QA/QC

Engineer (EQA) in co-ordination with Engineer-in-charge (HVAC)

5.6. The procedure is checked by Engineer-in-charge (HVAC) prior to submission.

5.7. The procedure is then reviewed and approved by HMR's QA/QC Manager.

5.8. The implementation of the procedures mentioned will be done by the ETA Commissioning

Engineer - HVAC & M/s. Prime Technologies.

5.9. The test shall be performed at site. In case of failure, the manufacturer shall correct or

replace parts or equipment at no cost to the company.

5.10. Company shall be given an on site testing notification at least 4 days in advanvce, prior

to start of the precommissioning & commissioning.



5.11. Fuel, water & electricity necessary for operation of the system in preliminary runs & for

adjustments & tests will be provided by HMR / ETA.

5.12. ETA shall supply all labour, apparatus & instruments necessary for the prescribed test.

The accuracy of the instruments shall be verified by an approved testing agency & the

certficate of calibration shall be made available during the precommissioning and

commissioning activities.

5.13. Any defects of workmanship, materials, performance, design of equipment, maladjustments

or other irregularities which become apparent during the tests shall be rectified by ETA

and the tests shall be repeated at its expense, to the satisfaction of Company.

5.14. All the testing & commissioning activities shall be performed by M/s. Prime Technology,

the independent third party, approved by Company.

5.15. Replacement of materials and consumables (if required), cleaning of filters and all necessary

steps to restore the building services to full serviceability shall be carried out.

5.16. All relevant schemtics / single line diagrams (if applicable) shall be made available while

carrying out precommissioning & commissioning activities.

5.17. All design data of equipment shall be recorded in the relevant approved log sheets prior

to start of field measurements. The variance of the actual values from the design shall be

recorded after measurement at site & the variance shall be determined.

5.18. All relevant precommissioning/commissioning check sheets, pressure tests, calibration

certificates of measuring devices shall be enclosed along with the inspection reports.`

5.19. Factory Test certificates (if applicable) shall be submitted as a part of the handing over

documentation.

7.1. Ensure that the pressurisation fan installation is complete PTECHand mechanical completion is approved.

7.2. Ensure that vibration isolators are complete with proper alignment PTECHof fan.

7.3. Ensure that no damage has occured between mechanical completion PTECH& precommissioning.

7.4. Ensure that orientation of the fans are as per approved shop drawings PTECH& requirement.

7.5. Repair all damages to the equipment finish paint. PTECH

7.6. Check the connection of fan inlet & outlet are done with proper PTECHalignment.

7.7. Check the fan is installed as per the approved shop drawings and PTECHmanufacturer's instructions.

7.8. Check for free rotation of fan propeller. PTECH

7.9. Check the fire rated ductwork is properly installed & insulated in PTECH

line with the approved drawings & specifications.

7.10. Check all motorised dampers are installed & connected with power PTECHsupply & controls properly.

7.11. Check for proper electrical power, control panel and earthing PTECHconnections as per manufacturer's recommendations. Field wiring to be pre-tested for continuity and insulation resistance.

7.12. Check the interface of the pressurisation fan with the fire alarm PTECHsystem & BMS.

7.13. Check for proper installation of pressure sensor in the shaft. PTECH

7.14. Check for proper setting of the overload relay PTECH

7.15. Check the identification & labelling of the fan & ductwork. PTECH

Commissioning Procedure for Staircase Pressurisation System

7.16. Ensure that all the precommissioning checks are carried out successfully. PTECH

7.17. Start the fan to check for correct direction of rotation of fan/motor. PTECH

7.18. Run the fan for 5 minutes. PTECH

7.19. Check for any undue vibration or noise. PTECH

7.20. Start the fan by inducing a fire signal from the Fire alarm conrol PTECHpanel.

7.21. Check all the fire dampers in shaft in all the floors close completely PTECHand the shaft is totally isolated.

7.22. Measure the air flow & inlet static & the static pressure in the PTECHshaft & record the values in FM-3209-ETA-039C.

7.23. Check whether the fan speed is properly controlled by the VFD PTECHvide the signal from the pressure sensor in the shaft.

7.24. Clear the fire signal & check the fan stops & all the motorised dampersin the shaft are opened.
