Thank you for the overwhelming support for our Christmas book fair yesterday. It was lovely to see students excited about books and reading.
Stage Three held a successful “on show” event yesterday. Many parents and carers took time out of their busy schedule to visit their child’s classroom and appreciate the work being completed. We hoped you enjoyed visiting our school
As the end of the school year draws nigh, the importance of attendance at school does not change. Students still have 17 days of learning, and every day counts. Please continue to keep in the school routine until our last day- Wednesday 18 December 2019.
This week there are eight teachers participating in AVID professional learning. As this targeted event takes place in Melbourne, these teachers are required to travel and spend a number of nights away from their homes. This training supports one of the school’s focus areas for the benefit of all students.
A reminder that behaviour choices have a direct impact on the inclusion of special events, especially at this time of the year. Attending extra activities is a privilege not a right.
Year 2 continue in their intensive swimming program. Last week’s warm weather was certainly conducive to pool activities. Thank you to the dedicated staff who organise, accompany and provide lessons in the water. This life skill is valued by the school community.

P&C News The amazing staff of Orana Heights Public School worked tirelessly, in the lead-up as well as on the day, to make our 2019 Fete such a success.
The OHPS P&C are putting on a morning tea to show our appreciation for all OHPS teachers, SLSOs and administrative staff, on Wednesday 11 December 2019 .
Any parents/carers who would like to help by baking or buying a cake/slice/biscuits/etc. can drop their donation off to the school office on the morning of December 11.
