Dear Parents and Carers, Unbelievably, we are now at the end of the Autumn Term and busy with the end of term activities—our shows, the disco and the end of term assembly. I want to thank the staff for managing this very eventful term so professionally and with such a positive attitude. With the building works, school journey and the snow, we have had countless changes to manage in an instant. The children, as always, have been a delight and accepting of their lack of play (Article 31) and reduced play areas. I also want to extend our gratitude to our parents who have been understand- ing, despite on occasions receiving information at short notice. At this point, I would like to remind parents to ensure they are able to access our school app as we use this to communicate important information. Paper- work, as you can see below, really does not work!!! It is also cheaper for the school and better for the environment that we cut down on printing out letters where possible. Office staff are always very happy to help any parent who has difficulty in downloading the school app. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy, safe holiday and all our Christian families, a very happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you on 4th January 2018. Dear Parents and Carers,

Unbelievably, we are now at the end of the Autumn Term and busy with the end of term activities—our shows, the disco and the end of term assembly. I want to thank the staff for managing this very eventful term so professionally and with such a positive attitude. With the building works, school journey and the snow, we have had countless changes to manage in an instant. PLEASE CHECK YOUR

CHILD’S SCHOOL BAG

Please check your

child’s school bag when

they come home from

school.

Unfortunately, we are

finding a lot of chil-

that they were unaware of certain events

and information. Thank you.

We are very happy to see that the science club has proved to be very popular.

Unfortunately, we understand that both clubs are now full but hopefully we will be able to

offer more dates after Easter.

Year 3 & 4 Lunchtime clubs will commence the week beginning 8/1/18. Year 3 Home-

work club will run on Mondays and Year 4 on Fridays. Letters will be sent out before

the holidays. Thank you

Snow It has been brought to our attention that some parents were not aware that boots

are not to be worn in school. They are not part of school uniform and, as the

children quite often sit on the floor, they can be uncomfortable. The children can wear the boots to and from school but need to change into their school shoes when they get here. Thank you for your

cooperation.

A Huge Thank

You

We would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Davey, Mrs

Umrania, Mrs Shah, Mrs Undakat and Ellen,

our wonderful kitchen

ladies, who surpassed themselves with the delicious Christmas lunch they provided for the children and

staff.

CHRISTMAS LUNCH

SNOW DAY Thank you to all the parents who braved it in on

Monday 11/12 despite the heavy snowfall. Unfortunately, we had to cancel all the clubs so that children and staff could leave on time and get home

safely. Some parents felt we should have made individual phone calls home but as you can

appreciate it was a very busy, hectic day and that’s why the message was sent on

the school app. It is essential to download the school app. Thank you for your

understanding.

Winter Fayre We would like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic PTA and all the parents who helped with our

hugely successful Winter Fayre. Their tireless efforts paid off as they made a great profit of £2,196.52 for the school. We haven’t had a PTA at the school for many years, so to have such dedi-cated, hardworking parents has been fantastic. The atmosphere at the school on the day of the

fayre was wonderful. The children had such fun playing games and buying goodies. Here are a few comments from the children;

Siham (6L) - “ I think the Winter Fayre was fun, exciting and beautiful. There were lots of lovely things to buy.”

Anisah (6C) - “The Winter fayre was really good and it raised a lot of money for the school.” Emi (5P) - “I really liked the Winter Fayre as they had a lot high of quality toys and the

atmosphere was really Christmassy and I really loved it.”

Food Bank Donations We just wanted to thank you all for the fantastic

donations sent in for the food bank. The sheer amount of food donated was fabulous. We successfully donat-ed the food to The Trussell Trust Food Bank in Bore-hamwood and it was welcomed with open arms. So

again thank you for all your support. We would also like to say a big thank you to Miss

Visavadia and the Global Learning Team for organising the event and Miss Kerr, Niyam, Anisah, Vishali, Sabri-

na, Zahra and Qasim for helping to deliver the food.
