In conjunction with IQPC’s Stadium and Venue Design & Development Russia & CIS Forum, taking place on 22-24 October 2012 in Warsaw, Poland, Construction IQ examines Stadium/Arena Projects for FIFA 2018 in Russia.

Upon the recommendation of the FIFA, the ideal number of stadiums to host the World Cups shall be 12, but Russia has initially decided to provide more - 16. The arenas are located in 13 cities which have been divided into 4 clusters:

1) Northern cluster – Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad (2 stadiums)2) Central cluster – Moscow (4 stadiums)3) Volga cluster – Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd, Saransk, Yaroslavl, Samara (6 stadiums)4) Southern cluster – Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi (3 stadiums)5) And, separately, Yekaterinburg (1 stadium)
