Jeff was was appointed Chairman of Stack Group in April 2014, having previously held the position of MD for Stack Data division. He founded Stack Data in 1984 and prior to this owned and ran several other successful businesses, including Stack Computer Services, which manufactured and internationally distributed accessories for the early home computing market. A qualified chartered engineer, graduate of the University of Liverpool, and winner of the prestigious Bibby Prize for engineering, Jeff continues to support the University and awards the Stack Prize for Mechanical Engineering every year.

D O R O T H Y O R R G R O U P F I N A N C E D I R E C T O RDorothy is responsible for all aspects of financial planning and control for the entire business. Managing relationships with suppliers and constantly assessing our best practice, Dorothy has always taken reinvestment in the business very seriously. This has been critical to Stack’s success, allowing us to innovate and adapt in the fast paced, ever changing market place in which we operate. Dorothy has been instrumental in the business since its inception.

He started out as a young engineer working for BT before carving out a successful career in National Account sales for both BT and Pennine Telecom. A board member, George is responsible for the growth and development of Stack Telecom in the UK and is focused on building key channel partners to facilitate the long term growth of the business.

Sitting on the board he is responsible for developing the business and also has operational responsibility for the network and infrastructure (Interconnect) division of the business. Phil started his career as a trainee engineer for Honeywell Information Systems, developing through the ranks before setting up a highly successful business in the 1990’s which became part of the Stack Group in 2009.

S T E V E C O B H A M M A N A G I N G D I R E C T O R , D ATA D I V I S I O NSteve became Managing Director of Stack Data in April 2014, when Jeff Orr became Group Chairman. Prior to this Steve was Technical Director for Stack Data, having been with the company since the 1980’s when the electronics company he owned merged with Stack. A board member, Steve is responsible for the future growth of the Stack data division and the day to-day running of the business, focusing on client relationships and developing his team. Steve has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, is a chartered engineer and a member of the Institute for Measurement and Control.

S T U A R T B R I D G E T E C H N I C A L D I R E C T O RStuart has been working at Stack since 2000, joining straight from school as a junior engineer. Exceptionally bright and a quick learner, Stuart quickly made an impression and has been instrumental in building the business. Stuart was made Technical Director in 2014 and manages the technical pre-sales, engineering operations centre, and is responsible for the technical delivery of all client projects. Stuart is fully qualified in VMware, EMC Storage, Microsoft and Citrix.

S I R M A L C O L M T H O R N T O N F R S A , N O N - E X E C U T I V E D I R E C T O RSir Malcolm has been a non-executive Director of Stack since 2000. Sir Malcolm spent 14 years in local government, notably as the first Leader of Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council, before entering Parliament in 1979. He is the former MP for Liverpool, Garston and latterly Crosby, holding office until 1997. A Parliamentary Private Secretary at the Department of Industry and the Department of the Environment, he also chaired the House of Commons Select Committee for Education for nine years.
