Hydraulic PressesOur hydraulic presses provide us the capability of forging a variety of products supporting the aerospace, military, oil and gas, and industrial markets from steel, nickel and titanium grades of material. We have the capability of using split die technology to forge odd contours and produce near net forgings.

HammersWe produce a wide variety of products serving the aerospace (structural), agricultural, construction, mining, oil and gas, and power generation industries. Our broad range of equipment, material capabilities and know-how allows us to forge parts that go into critical applications, such as fl ow control components for the oil and gas industry and aircraft landing gear.

Heat TreatECDG has the capability to heat treat your products to achieve uniform material properties in a controlled environment that combines programmable furnaces, a rapid transfer system and a controlled quench media.

MachiningIf your parts require rough or fi nish machining, ECDG has the equipment available in-house and has built relationships with several outside contractors that can machine your parts to shape and level of completion required.

Design and ModelingECDG employs the latest technology to support our engineering group when designing your forgings. No matter the application, all forgings go through the same design steps, including Deform Simulation, prior to ever cutting dies to ensure fi rst-time success on new product introductions.

IndustrialWe forge components that go into a variety of industrial applications that are used in the steel-making industry and various manufacturing capacities. Products include: overhead crane wheels, overhead crane brake wheels, pump crankshafts, gears and more.

Military and DefenseWe produce critical components for our nation’s military and defense needs. Some of the parts that we supply include tank breech components, missile warheads, missile motor cases, 20 MM gun housings, military helicopter rotor shafts and hubs, and more.

Mining and ConstructionWe produce a wide variety of products for the mining industry supporting the needs of both surface and underground mining equipment. Products supplied to our customer base include mining truck spindles, mining truck axle tubes, front-end loader spindles, bulldozer idlers, blade end bits, ripper shanks, fl ight bars and chain links.

Oil and GasWe offer the oil and gas industry a wide selection of standard and custom forgings from tri-cone drill bits to small valve bodies to large subsea valves and conventional surface wellhead equipment. We also produce a wide variety of specialty components.

Die Sinking The Ellwood Closed Die Group has a variety of die sinking capabilities at our disposal at each plant to meet our customers’ time-to-market requirements. Our broad die sinking capabilities allow us to sink dies up to 5' x 12' and up to 40,000 pounds. Because we maintain full die sinking capabilities in house, we are very effi cient in time to market to meet today’s demanding market requirements. Our simulation process provides for a 95% fi rst-time success rate on new dies.
