FlexiPlugs® Give Young Plants a Stronger Start

Grow-Tech’s FlexiPlugs® are manufactured by blending high quality substrates with hydrophilic foam. The result is a stabilized plug that produces faster rooting for cuttings and young plants. Faster rooting is a result of the FlexiPlug’s superior aeration and water retention. Grow-Tech blends the optimal mix of organic substrates, micro nutrients and biologicals, producing a pH balanced plug with all the elements needed for healthy plant growth.

FlexiPlugs® come in several industry standard sizes. In addition to these industry standard sizes, the Grow-Tech team can work with you to produce a custom plug for your system. Dibbles can also be added to FlexiPlugs® to allow for superior stem to soil contact.

The fifty five and twenty five cell propagation trays are ready-to-use retail kits used by home gardeners to start cuttings and seeds. These reusable kits include a reservoir tray, dome lid, float tray and are pre-filled with a supply of peat plugs. Refill bags of replacement plugs are also available to allow your returning customers to refill their propagation kits year after year. Grow-Tech’s propagation kits come ready for you to private label. Simply print your logo on an Avery label and stick it in the provided space.

FlexiMix®: Rooting Sponge Technology in a Loose Media

Growers wanting a more consistent and low maintenance potting mix have chosen FlexiMix® for over thirty years. FlexiMix® is a soil amendment that is manufactured in a process similar to Grow-Tech’s FlexiPlugs®. The resulting rooting sponge is then shredded into a granular material.

FlexiMix® has a unique water holding capacity. This not only means less watering, from increased water retention, but a molecular structure that will not allow for over watering. FlexiMix® also contains a blend of organic substrates, micronutri-ents and biologicals that will ensure your young plants thrive.

FlexiTrays: Produced for Growers FlexiTrays® in Floriculture, Horticulture & Hydroponics

Growers all over the world use FlexiTrays® for bedding plants, trees, ornamentals and starting seed. The FlexiTray® is created by blending peat moss, and other organic materials, with a foam binder. This process creates a stabilized plug in each cell of the propagation tray and allows for automation at any stage of plant development.

Trials by growers have shown up to a week reduction in rooting times. This is a result of the product’s consistent moisture control and aeration. Predrilled dibbles foster the optimum environment for stem to soil contact. FlexiTrays® also increase the efficiency of your greenhouse by allowing for earlier transplant, better crop timing and full automation.Grow-Tech keeps several industry standard trays

Tray Specifications

Preparation

1. Wet the material before seeding or placing cutting.

2. Place one seed or cutting per plug or cell.

Check the plants routinely to avoid over-watering and under-watering.

Watering requirements will change based on type of plant, humidity and air

temperature. All Grow-Tech products will rewet after drying.

Bottom Wicking:

1. Place the product in a reservoir with 50% water.

2. Warm water wicks more quickly.

Top Watering:

1. Mist or water as needed according to type of plant and

environment.

2. Water just enough to keep cuttings turgid.

Best Practices for FlexiPlugs®, FlexiTrays® & FlexiMix™

Wait until roots are visible on the outside of the FlexiPlug® or cell from the

FlexiTray®. It is not necessary to wait for root balling. The media stays together

on its own! Simply move plant while still in the FlexiPlug® or cell from the

FlexiTray® into its next growing environment.

1. Use FlexiMix® as a potting soil of 50/50 mix to fit any attractive

container. Follow watering instructions as given above.

2. Use your favorite loose media.
