We are a family owned alpaca farm. We have been in the alpaca business for several years. We are still learning something new about the business everyday. We have a small herd and due to the flooding have had to put things on our farm on hold.

We do not have experience in writing about our alpacas, but we are honest and right to the point when it comes to our alpacas. Come and visit our farm . We have alpacas, Angora goats, Cashmere Fainting goats, sheep, rabbits and pheasants. We also have Great Pyrenees dogs.

We love farm visits and talking about all of our animals. We have several alpacas for sale and offer starter packages with very reasonable prices. We will be there for you, to answer your alpaca questions, and help in any way that we can. We are always just a phone call away.

We also offer financing. Give us a call and see what we can do for you.

El Accoyo Astro ia a Full Accoyo son of El Nino and is a true Accoyo. He has the density and coverage expected of this genealogy.

Astro's fleece is fine and has high amplitude crimp.

He has correct conformation and solid

bone structure.

Ostrander won the Blue Ribbon at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Show in the Fawn Yearling Halter Class.

This was his first and only time in the show ring.

Specializing in Blacks and Silver Greys, our small 150 year old farm is a shady haven to 22 beautiful alpacas of Peruvian and Chilean descent whose family trees include some of the most respected names in the industry. Since 2006 we have loved caring for these glorious creatures and the personally fulfilling and creative work of washing, dyeing, carding, spinning, and marketing fiber and handmade fiber products. As experienced educators we offer solid support in these and all areas of the care and handling of these magnificent animals. You can rely on us to help you organize and prioritize your needs as a new alpaca farmer and to be there for you as our own wonderful mentors have been! With both of us working weekends, either in music or marketing alpaca fleece, as of this writing we have not entered the alpaca show ring. Therefore, we have some gorgeous ribbon-worthy animals that are practically unknown! Put us on your list of “must visit” farms for 2012 and come discover the secrets of Castle Tower!

Everyone wants to be the first with a pink alpaca, right? Well Tamerlane comes close! This gorgeous boy is a rare half Accoyo, full Peruvian

Medium Rose Grey! We are proud as punch to co-own this 5x Blue Ribbon winner with Nyala Farm Alpacas. Tam won his ribbons for his long silky handled fleece, top knot to toes fleece coverage, uniform fine crimp, and rock solid conformation. He is simply stunning and stands out in any pasture. Tam’s bloodlines are impeccable, featuring Ac-coyo Camilio, Accoyo the Babe, Nic Nac, Black Magic and Choclateer. Tammy is your way to make elite greys! Awards

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of “Knighty-Knight” is simply that he is the most beautiful alpaca I have ever seen. His head and face take my breath away every time I look at him. This picture is more about conformation, see our website for others! Very good quality fleece in a BLUE Black. A Victor great grandson, McGwire grandson, and on the other side, Grand Sire High Plains Amadeus, winner of Canada's 2009 1st place honors for sires progeny fine, dense, and very bright, I believe Wini LaBreque refers to an alpaca with this kind of luxurious fleece as “a silky”. Full disclosure: One tiny white spot that was not there until he was over a year old; Andy Merriwether thinks it’s as a result of a shot, not genetic. Knighty does have grey in his background, but I believe that spot is the result of a shot or rough play, and I would not hesitate to breed him to grey.

He has just arrived and we are thrilled! Any farm would be proud to list Advocate, Accoyo Pluro, Alianza Pisco Sour, Alianza (Great Grand Dam) Tacna and Accoyo Victor lines on their farm, but all together in one True Black stud?!? In 2006 Judge Julie Skinner referred to the 2004 Futurity Show as being the finest collection of black males ever assembled. First place and Color Champion of that 2004 AAA Futurity was Sure Fire’s Sire, the famous Hilltop’s Dreamer’s Advocate, who won 7 Championships before being retired from the

show ring! Hilltop’s Dreamer’s Advocate also took first and Reserve Champions at MAPACA, and NAAS Halter Show; and a first and color championship at the Empire Fleece event. Now marry all that with Pra Kara Mia, a Victor daughter in black, and you have our Sure Fire! On top of the beautiful fleece and great conformation you would expect from these genes, Sure Fire has a terrific, friendly personality and is a delight to work with. Having just come to us post shearing, we do not yet have any fleece stats on this great guy, but come see him and get your hands on him, and you too will fall head over heels in love! We are eager (to say the least!) to see what he produces in 2012 with our beautiful MSG Maggie Mae.

A beautiful Classic medium silver grey, this guy hit the ground as an obvious prince among alpacas! Gorgeous head, nice straight top line, abundant fine fleece with nice consistent color throughout the blanket. Great lineage on sire’s side, as you can see, but also noteworthy is Rammy’s Grand Sire on his Dam’s side. High Plains Apache may be Canada’s most successful sire of greys, having produced more than a handful of grey color champions and being a multiple champion himself, including 1st Place Honors for Sires

Progeny at Edmonton 2009 (like a National Get of Sire). Ram Jam has it all, strong genes, awesome look, beautiful fleece, great carriage and attitude, great personality and charisma to spare. All he needs is unrelated girls! At this writing we have not shown our alpacas, but if you know enough about them to rely on what you see and feel, you should definitely check out this ‘secret weapon’.

Welcome to our farm, nestled on a hilltop in Otsego County on County Hwy 19, just out-side of Burlington Flats. Our farm has grown over the past 6 years and we have grown with it, in knowledge and constant attention to improving our herd, focusing on producing the very best quality soft fine fleece, perfect conformation, great disposition on top of all that. Our herdsires carry the genes of some of the industries' best such as: Caligula, Accoyo El Nino, Royal Fawn, Peruvian Fidel, PPeruvian Pluro, Victor, Legacy, Stratosphere, PPerruvian Felix, PPPeruvian Mr. President, Capezio SSRMT, 6Peruvian Conan, Peruvian Bueno, PPeruvian Guellermo and the Scotsman. Come visit, and meet our herd to find that perfect match for your alpaca needs. May be a starter herd or that special addition to your herd. We have some great herdsire breeding opportunities at very reasonable rates. Proven females and maiden females, future herdsires, and quality fiber or pet animals.

It is of utmost importance to us to provide continual support to our clients.

Caesar is just amazing! His fleece is wonderful, so soft as if it were a cloud, with a micron of 18 and comfort factor 99.4%, impressive genetics on both sides, solid conformation, an excellent bite, and a incredible proud presence. His sire is Peruvian Conan, sire to fawn multi-color champion, Lancaster and true black multi- color champion Kodiak.

Conan's incredible crimp and staple length has been passed on down to Caesar. On his Dam’s side, there is the infamous Bueno who has many, many get of sires. Since Caesar's sire, Conan, is fawn covering black, Caesar covers at least dark fawn and quite possibly black. Can you imagine a dark alpaca with this quality fleece? With these genetics and fleece characteristics, there is always room in your breeding pro-gram.

His sire is the infa-mous Accoyo Stratosphere, a five time Blue Ribbon winner and sire to more than 70 championship cria. His dam is Accoyo Venice, the finest dam on our farm with a micron of just 16.5. There are many champions and lots of full Accoyo color in his pedigree including his maternal grandsire, Accoyo Maverick who is a 4X champion with 11 blues and 3 get-of-sires. If you're looking for full Accoyo color without sacrificing the fineness of even the most beautifully fleeced whites, you might want to consider Accoyo Truman.

Gray Feather is a great grandson of the legendary Accoyo PPeruvian Pluro. His conformation is right on, and his cria have a very square compact frame and the straightest legs I ever seen on a new born cria. He is medium silver gray, and is sure to add color to your breeding program; his fleece is very dense and shimmery bright.

His pictures say it all. And to top it off he has a wonderful quiet nature, if you are looking for a gray you will want to consider Gray Feather.

Bueno & Guellermo!

Harpo, is just one of those beautiful built alpacas, compact, with dense soft fiber with just a beautiful look. He definitely is a head turner when he is out in the pasture and has passed that on to his 1st cria, Claire. She is a beautiful to-bacco color with the same look of her fa-ther with dense fleece and tight curly Q's.

His bloodlines are nothing but the best - Maple Brook Bolero, Bueno, Guellermo and Epifania. Harpo's elite fleece come from these genetics. Harpo is covered with fleece from head to toe with a beautiful face and the kind of coverage everyone is looking for.

Ironlad's fleece is just incredible, abundant, very bright, extremely dense, fine, and the crimp is unbelievable with amazing staple length. His bite is perfect and conformation amazing. His genetics on his dam's side go back to NGG Lionel and legendary, Peruvian Bueno, and on his sire's side his blood contains the genes of the recently deceased PPeruvian Victor which make his blood-line both rare and increasingly valuable.

Ironlad comes from a long line of Blue Ribbon winning genetics, you can understand where he gets his proud tall stance about him and his mellow manner is wonderful.

All these characteristics add up to just an all around amazing package.

Butterrum is exactly what you would expect: butterscotch in color with an extremely fine,

buttery fleece! He is a very handsome herd-sire, with correct conformation, perfect bite, fiber filled face, and full coverage head to toe. His fiber is dense, yet very fine, with a nice crimp and structure. Butterrums's dam is a 98 import from the Ma-cusani region of Peru and remains elegant! His sire, The Scotsman, is a true black color champion and multi-Blue Ribbon winner not-ed for producing very fine fleeced cria. Butterrum covers black and will be able to produce a black cria.

Butterrum began breeding in 2011. We look forward to the offspring from this outstanding male. We offer him for your breeding consideration in your herd.

Icon is one very rare boy. Imagine a full Peruvi-an, half Accoyo black alpaca, there just is not to many out there. Not to mention his impressive genetics, superior fleece characteristics and excel-lent conformation. Icon is a son of two full Peruvian grey parents, his dam is 5Pervian Mignon, a dark silver grey and his sire is a very rare full Accoyo Rose Grey Male Mcguire, a 4 time blue ribbon winner. Accoyo Victor is Icon's grandsire, widely regard-ed as one of the finest huacaya herdsires. Icon has that wonderfully dense, crimpy, fine fleece that you would expect from his genetics. This quality of fleece in black is very rare indeed. His confirmation is straight and tall with a perfect bite.

With all these fine qualities, and you wish to add color & density,

you will want to consider Icon.

Solar is the son of a fawn Alianza Peruvian Import. He is a full Alianza herdsire who passes on superior genetics, conformation, and fiber to each of his cria. He has several blue ribbon winning cria. In particular, Solar passes on fiber filled faces, dense topknots and very crimpy fiber with long staple length. Solar de Peru's mom is Ppperuvian Sunflower, an import from the third Peruvian importation. Although Solar is white, he has a few fawn spots, and with is mother being fawn, this has given him the

ability to produce color 100% of the time when bred to color. Solar is the father of the first registered twins born in North America.

Solar has a long track record of producing top-notch, solid colored crias.

If you are looking to add beautiful, soft, crimpy fiber, coverage and that beautiful typey head to your herd without giving up solid color, you will want to consider Solar.

Irish Meadows Peruvian McGuire is a Light Fawn Reserve Champion male who consistently throws color all the way to true black. McGuire is producing cria one to three shades darker then the dam 90% of the time. Along with the color comes the fleece qualities of a very competitive light fawn male as McGuire has proven in the ring numerous times. McGuire is a smaller framed male who carries extreme density as well as a very long staple. These characteristics consistently show themselves in his cria.

McGuires smaller frame has been a blessing when it comes to birthing problems in our maidens with average cria weights being between 17lbs. and 20lbs. Let Irish Meadows Peruvian McGuire not only bring color to your herd but also dense crimpy fleeces that will be competitive in the ring for years to come.

Heather-Rayne Alpacas is an established alpaca farm that sits overlooking the Susquehanna River Valley. It is a quiet, tranquil, and relaxing setting that the alpacas and visitors enjoy. The scenic drive to our farm is well worth the trip. We are nestled on the top of a hill with spectacular views. In January 2009, 11 alpacas arrived; two young males, six bred females, and three maidens. We have not looked back since. They have been such a positive impact on our lifestyle. We cur-rently have 34 alpacas and are continuing to breed for top quality fleece, to strive for the perfect conformation, and the overall alpaca package. Our goal is to have alpacas in all 22 natural colors. Bainbridge, New York is located 30 minutes from Binghamton, Oneonta, Norwich, Delhi. We are right in the middle of everything.

We welcome visitors and love to share our starting experiences.

Brannigan is an awesome young male with great confor-mation, dense crimpy fleece and a very desirable head type. He gets all his great traits from multiple Blue Ribbon winner Captain Nemo. His dam Pacifica's D'Peruvian Jewel is a Yupanqui granddaughter with a very fine fleece.

Brannigan will start breeding in spring of

2012. We are anxious to get some cria on the ground. With dark rose grey, dark silver grey, medium brown, and dark fawn in his genetics, we are looking forward to some great looking colored cria.

Silver Bullet is stunning. Perhaps the color most desired by alpaca breeders, Silver can produce any and every color alpaca. When bred to solid black dams, he should produce only black and silver grey cria. And color isn't all he has to offer! Coming from full Peruvian descent, his fleece is exceptionally soft and crimpy - even his tail is crimpy! Bullet has good coverage and nice density. There is very little white on his legs and he has an almost solid silver grey blanket, something that judges like to see! Bullet's sire has multiple ribbons, Bullet has multiple ribbons, as does his full sister.

He has produced some knockout cria here at our farm!

Ideuma Creek Alpacas began as a dream with our purchase of six alpacas in 1997. Our herd has grown to nearly ninety alpacas since then, and we have enjoyed every minute of making our dream of becoming farmers a reality. We proudly raise full Peruvian alpacas from many of the most respected bloodlines in the country. Our herd is one of the largest full Accoyo herds on the east coast. Among the fifty full Accoyos at Ideuma Creek are some of the best ribboned and most sought after full Accoyo colored herdsires in the country. Our focus is on fleece and we are very proud of the cria produced here on our farm. In addition to numerous championships and blue ribbons in halter and fleece, Ideuma Creek cria have taken home a good number of the coveted and highly competitive specialty fleece awards. To win these awards, fleeces compete with every fleece entered in the show - sometimes more than 200 in number. In the past few years, Ideuma Creek cria have taken home 6 Best Brightness Awards, 3 Best Crimp Awards and 2 Judge’s Choice Awards (given to the best overall fleece in the entire show.) One of our cria placed third in the World Fleece show in 2009, with an unbe-lievable score of 92, while competing against the biggest and best alpaca farms from all over the country. We welcome you to visit our 140 acre farm nestled on a hillside overlooking Ideuma Creek. Here you can see and meet our herdsires, dams and their cria. When you see and feel the fleeces we’ve worked to produce over these last 15 years, you’ll understand why we are so proud.

Invasion is one of the best ribboned colored full Accoyos in the country. He is the son of multi-champion Accoyo Royal Avenger. He himself is an 8X champion with 16 Blue Ribbons, The Best Brightness Award and The Judge's Choice Fleece Award, and he has now proven that he can pass on his elite fleece and near perfect conformation to his offspring. Invasion's cria have earned more than 18 championships in both halter and fleece and too many Blue Ribbons to count. In addition, Invasion offspring have proven they are way beyond even the most com-petitive in fleece by capturing an amazing amount of specialty fleece awards - where fleeces are judged against EVERY fleece in the show - sometimes competing against more than 200 fleeces. The results - Invasion's cria have accumulated 6 Best Brightness Awards (5 different cria), 3 Best Crimp Awards (3 different cria) and the most coveted fleece award of all - The Judge's Choice! He has produced cria in all colors from elite fleeced whites to fawns and browns and blacks. This year we were blessed with a modern sil-ver grey out of him! Accoyo Cuba Libre is the best example we've found of a full Accoyo that combines color, fineness, density and typey conformation. He truly has it all! Cuba is a rare dark fawn Accoyo with very consistent coloring. There are few full Accoyos darker than Cuba. The science be-hind Cuba's softness is in his histograms, a 16.4 micron - but to feel Cuba is pure heaven. No one can believe an alpaca as soft as Cuba can also be so incredibly dense.

The two so rarely go together! To top it off, Cuba has typey, strong conformation, a commanding presence, and some really impressive ancestors. Cuba's genetics are rare & known for producing elite offspring. His sire, Accoyo Express, is 1 of only 5 off-spring (and the only male) born to Accoyo Albus before he was exported to England where he continues to win get-of-sire. Cuba's dam, MFI Accoyo Tequilla Sunrise is the product of Accoyo Suzana, a white import owned by Magical Farms & the recent-ly deceased Accoyo icon, Leon. Cuba's maternal siblings include Cuervo Gold who stands stud at Magical Farms & La Viva Loca, the highest selling female at the 2007 Futurity. So many folks have been impressed with the look and feel of Cuba that his first crop of cria - due this spring and summer - number more than 20! We expect great things from this boy and look for-ward to cria with his fineness, his density and lots of dark full Accoyo color.

Accoyo Covert Operation stands incredibly tall and proud. He is a very large boy with excellent conformation and stature. He really is a beautful blend of the very specific attributes Don Julio bred for - density and fine, consistent fleece. This boy has it ALL going for him! Co-Op has some very rare & unusual genetics. He is the son of our Accoyo Invasion, 8X cham-pion, 16 Blue Ribbon winning herdsire. The dam's side is really unusual and sought after, making Co-Op a beautiful guy with unique genetics. Thai Orchid, Co-Op's dam, is a beautiful Zen Do daughter. Zen Do comes from Don Julio Barreda's select B-line, fo-cusing on creating fine and uniform fleeces. Zen Do has some of the best fiber statis-tics we've ever seen. 18.8 AFD, 2.5 SD, 13.4 CV and 0>30! His genetics are quite rare and the fineness & consistency of his fleece are 2 of the traits many alpaca breed-ers are scrambling to add to their own herds. Co-Op seems to have inherited the best of both his parents. His fleece is very soft, fine & consistent with a buttery handle. He has received some beautiful crimp & that brightness that Invasion is famous forpassing on to his cria.

Most impressive of all, Co-Op scored 19.5 out of 20 in the category of fineness & handle.

Accoyo Orinoco looks just like his sire, 8X Champion SA Accoyo Invasion, when he was younger. He's got stature; he's got presence; he's got attitude, and man, does he have fleece! Orinoco was named after a river, like his dam, Amazona. Now I'm going to go on and on about Orinoco's sire, but his dam is stunning. She is a Caligula daughter and her AFD of 20 is backed by an amazing CV of only 16.9! She's VERY consistent and she's kept crimp, density and fineness throughout the years. Orinoco is the first Ideuma Creek cria out of Amazona, and we

couldn't be any happier. Amazona was not shown by the farm that originally owned her, so she doesn't have a long list of accomplishments like Invasion , however, suffice to say, her first cria here at our farm, says it all! Accoyo Invasion, Orinoco's sire, on the other hand, does have a huge list of accolades. He's an 8X Champion with 16 Blue Ribbons and the Coveted Fleece Awards of Best Brightness and Judge's Choice. His cria have racked up 18 championships and the Fleece Awards of Best Crimp (3) and Best Brightness (6). Add Orinoco to the list of elite fleece cria Invasion has produced. Bright crimpy bun-dling fleece all over his neck, his tail, his legs and his blanket is so curly and brilliant we're sure he's going to win awards.

Ideuma Creek's Accoyo Truman is a four time champion with six Blue Ribbons and the most coveted fleece award of all - The Judge's Choice. It is without question that Truman's fleece is exquisite. Truman packs a power punch of incredible fineness, rich full Accoyo color, great staple length, density, zipper crimp and genetics that simply can't be beat. His sire is the infamous Accoyo Stratosphere, a five time Blue Ribbon winner and sire to more than 70 championship cria. His dam is Accoyo Venice, the finest dam on our farm with a micron of just 16.5. There are many champions and lots of full Accoyo color in his pedi-gree including his maternal grandsire, Accoyo Maverick who is a 4X champion with 11 blues and 3 get-of-sires. If you're look-ing for full Accoyo color without sacrificing the fineness of even the most beautifully fleeced whites, you might want to consider Accoyo Truman.

Stratosphere is one of the top fawn Accoyo herdsires in the country. This is, of course, due in part to his short and very sweet pedigree - his sire, Legacy, the highest selling alpaca of all time and Astillero - "super dam" of numerous champion cria. Strat him-self has five blue ribbons at very impressive shows - including two at AOBA National competitions and two Get-of-Sire blue ribbons. With just three years of cria in the showring, there are more than 35 cham-pionships and more than 70 blue ribbons for Strato-sphere offspring. Several cria have received the cov-

eted Judge's Choice award and Jabberwocky, a black Strat son, won the GAA Black Male Huacaya of the Year! Strat produces champion cria consistently in all colors - he has champion cria in white, fawn, brown, and black. He consistently throws density, fineness, crimp and conformation that wow the judges in show after show. Strat is a fawn full Accoyo with all the right genetics, an impressive show record and a cria show string that proves his prepotency without question. Freestyle inherited all that is good and desirable from his parents. His fleece has great character every where you look - blanket, neck, hip - all are spectacular. Freestyle sports the typical Lancaster head style, that is typey with great face coverage. He has good heavy bone and a nice square, well conformed frame. Freestyle’s micron count at four years of age was and amazing 20.0 microns. Freestyle has amazing lineage not only from his champion sire, 2010 Herdsire of the Year, Peruvian Lancaster, but from his dam who has Felix, Hemingway and

Storm's light silver grey color is just beautiful. The Silver color is the most desired by alpaca breeders. Storm comes from full Peruvian descent and Accoyo Shangri La, his fleece is soft and crimpy - even his tail and top knot are crimpy! Storm has nice cover-age, and an almost solid silver grey blanket. Storm’s former owners did not show him, therefore his only show experience occurred after coming to our farm. Storm turned heads when he strutted across the show ring. With the judge commenting on how his beautiful

profile caught her eye the minute he entered the ring. Storm is ready to start breeding and is looking for girls! Storm is related to many of our girls and we are looking for outside breedings, to help him prove himself and get cria on the ground. Due to his lineage relationship to our girls, we have decided to sell 1/2 Interest of Storm for $7500.

Dakota sports amazing crimp from head to tail. His cork screw fleece has been bundling since birth and as he matures he has become incredibly dense. All that and excellent conformation, too. Dakota has a great personality and mild temperament. He has a typey head with a short muzzle and beautiful top-knot, which he gets from his dam Zanella, and his grandsire Peruvian Zephyrus.

Dakota has some unbelievable genetics including: grandsires Accoyo Shangri-La and Peruvian Zephy-rus; great grand sires Accoyo Caligula, and NicNac. Dakota’s first cria will arrive summer 2012. Orinoco was named after a river, like his dam, Amazona of Ideuma Creek Alpacas. Amazona, his dam is just stunning. She is a product of Greg Mecklem's breeding program. She is a Caligula daughter and her AFD of 20 is backed by an amazing CV of only 16.9! She's very consistent and she's kept crimp, density and fineness throughout the years. Orinoco is the first Ideuma Creek cria out of Amazona, and they couldn't be any happier. Accoyo Invasion, Orinoco's sire, has a huge list of accolades. He's an 8X Champion with 16

Blue Ribbons and the Coveted Fleece Awards of Best Brightness and Judge's Choice. His cria have racked up 11 championships and the Fleece Awards of Best Crimp (2) and Best Brightness (3). The first time we looked at Orinoco and opened his fleece our eyes nearly popped out of our heads. His abundance of fleece was amazing; he is crimpy, dense, and lustrous. We were sold! Orinoco stands tall and strong, just like is sire, Accoyo Invasion. Add Orinoco to the list of elite fleece cria Invasion has produced. Bright crimpy bundling fleece all over his neck, his tail, his legs and his blanket is so curly and bril-liant we're sure he's going to win awards.

MacArthur, Mac, was born on Father’s Day, and deserved a strong proud name; being named after Helen’s stepfather. Mac was just simply an adorable cria with his butterfly ears and wide eyed look, and he has not changed at all as he has matured. He is still ador-able and has a wonderful temperament to match. He is a mild mannered and very easy to handle. Mac carries many of his sire’s and dam’s traits, true black, soft crimpy fleece, small in stature, and an easy going manner. He is a pleasure to have on our farm. We are limited to the number of girls we can breed Mac to, so we are not only looking for breedings , but we have decided to sell him to a good farm for a very reasonable price of $2500.

Lone Spruce Alpacas began in 2004 as a dream and a way to keep the family farm alive in retirement years. The foundation dams came from the Mettowee Valley Farm in Vermont. Each were 1/2 Accoyo. The plan always has been to develop a herd with correct conformation and desirable fiber. The herdsires selected are chosen for fine, crimpy, dense fiber, color, and conformation. Nestled in the hills of northwest Che-nango County, it is home for 45 alpacas. We built an alpaca barn in 2006. Since then, 2 sheds, other building renovations, and more fencing has been added for the growing herd. The housing is diverse, using what buildings we have as well as building new.

In addition to alpacas, I also

sell their products, teach dyeing classes, and host

visitors and groups of boy scouts and girl scouts.

We are always happy to welcome you to

Lone Spruce Alpacas!

Kaptain is a white herdsire that has it all. He is full Peruvian, boasting outstanding genetics in his pedigree, combining the highly sought after Alianza (1/4) with Accoyo (3/4) bloodlines. He stands proud and tall, with a very macho pres-ence, strength in his frame, and fleece that we all are breeding for. His fleece show records are outstanding! With several championships and a rare 92% score at the 2009 WORLD Fleece Show, he is incredibly dense with consistent crimp and bundling architecture throughout his blanket. He can compete successfully in the show ring as well, placing 1st at the STA Hummdinger Show last August. Kaptain is one to consider adding to your genetic breeding program. Awards:

Kodiak is a proud herdsire, with a striking appearance and correct con-formation. He has a dense fleece with very acceptable crimp. His back-ground is impressive with Accoyo's Felix, Mr. Know It All and the legend-ary Hemingway. Kodiak is the "go to" male when we need a herdsire to get the job done quickly! I have mated Kodiak with the Esteban daughters and been able to add crimp to their fineness.

The 2 pictures are examples of Kodiak's dense fleece and correct conformation when shorn.

He has not been shown at all.

Puritan is an older white male that has maintained his fineness. At age 8, his micron count is 22.7. He has both density and fineness, with excellent coverage. He is a son of the famous sire, Legacy. His genetics also include Augusto and Altiplano Gold. Puritan's dam, is the dam of Magnum, the 13 times champion! This makes Puritan maternal brother and 1/2 brother to Magnum.

Carson is a gorgeous light fawn male! He is very fine, with a micron count of 22 at 6 years of age! Not only is he fine, but he is dense and crimpy too. He has an impressive show career: as you can see, he started out placing second in his class, then the following year, was unbeaten in the light fawn classes in every show he en-tered, garnering a color championship at the Green Mountain show! The following year, he returned to also win the Blue Ribbon before

retiring from the show ring. He is maternal brother to Magnum, the 13 X light fawn color champion. His presence makes him stand out in the herd and every visitor takes notice. Esteban is the royal gentleman of the herd. He is macho, yet gentle in nature. Full Peruvian, Esteban is son of legendary, Bueno. Esteban also is full Alianza, passing on the fineness and softness to his cria. He averages a 23.7 lifetime micron count. He entered the show ring for the first time at 11 months of age and brought home a red ribbon. His offspring ribbon in very competitive shows, often with blues and reds. In my herd, Esteban has sired 9 females and only 3 males!! 75% females! They have fine fleeces, with bolder crimps added in the next generation. Esteban is medium-size, making him a good choice for the maiden alpaca.

If you are looking to add some gray to your herd, Tavarez might be the sire to consider. He is a tuxedo type of gray, with a few spots of brown and black. He is a nice looking male.

He has an impressive show career, garner-ing 5 Blue Ribbons. As Tavarez got older, he did better in the show ring, taking 1st place in every 2005 show he entered.

We run Pac-Pak 4-H at Nyala Farm in Vestal, NY and our daughters Kenni and Helen provide expert halter and performance training to our 4-H-ers and our clients.

Andy saw Riley in auction and just fell in love with him. He comes right out of the heart of Phil Mizrahie's stellar herd. Phil was one of the original importers and this is one of the best males he has produced. His fleece is just to die for. He has a typey look with incredible tree trunk legs. We can-not wait to see what he can do for our breeding program. His dam Sibaya was a lovely import. His fa-ther is legendary Accoyo import Titan. Titan has thrown champions in every color includ-ing black.

We think Riley will make amazing cria too. His first cria was spectacular. If you want to make showy cria, this is your guy.

As soon as we saw this boy as a juvenile we knew we had to have this beige full Accoyo male for our breeding program. Extreme density, long staple, obscene shear weight (16.2 pounds!!!) with skin to tip crimp everywhere. He took 8 championships and 16 blues in his show career and his cria have already taken 17 championships and countless blues. Invasion’s fleece won Best Brightness and Judges Choice Best Fleece. “Vasi” is Royal Avenger’s best son. Don’t miss the chance to breed to one of the top Accoyo males in the country. We are proud to partner with Dutch Mountain Alpacas on Checkmate. Checkmate is an exceedingly rare black full Alianza herdsire out of Canadian grand champion, Guellermo. He is half brother to Peruvian Ion. Jeronimo S282, and Vyrtual Reality. Checkmate has produced many awesome cria in every color from black to grey to fawn to brown to white. He passes his awesome conformation, great head, and obscene staple length on to his cria. His cria have been exceptionally fine fleeced. We have retained a number of his black, grey and brown offspring for our breeding program.

EB White is the son of the legendary Alianza stud, Hemingway. We chose EB to breed to our Alianza foundation herd to add his amazing lingering fineness. EB is a fiber stat legend (2000: AFD 13.9 SD 3.5 CV 25.2 >30 .5) and he has retained those traits as he has aged. Indeed, EB's 2007 fiber stats, at almost 8 yrs old & over-conditioned, are a remarkable AFD 20.0 SD 3.8 CV 19. >30 1.7. EB is wicked dense, retaining a heavily crimped fleece with lots of architecture and a buttery handle to this day. EB routinely passes these traits on to his cria.

Elsinore is a stunning half Accoyo, half Alianza Appaloosa stud with a long-stapled, tightly crimped, lush-handling dense fleece. He is a medium fawn with about a dozen dark fawn/light brown spots. So far he has not passed the spots to his cria. He has passed his delightful crimp style on over and over. Elsinore carries very rare blood-lines on both sides. His sire is Julius Jax, a beige full accoyo champion out of Accoyo Thunder. His dam is Elsa, a striking Alianza Jolimont re-import. Lastly, Elsinore is one of the best performance animals ever. Constantine is the son of Magneeto a blue ribbon winning full accoyo Camilio son and Pistol a dark silver gray multiple blue ribbon winner. Connie has incredibly dense crimpy fleece. We are pretty sure he is a poorly expressed light rose grey. We bought Pistol as a black, but she turned out to be a dark silver grey. It just took a few shearings for the grey to spread down her neck. We believe Connie is the same, but with spectacular fleece. We have bred Connie to four dams and hope to prove his “greyness” with his offspring in 2012.

Hi….we are Rodney, June and Tim Preston of Preston’s Alpacas, located on 120 acres in Eastern Otsego county. As you can tell by a quick look--we don’t go to many shows. Don’t let that be the deciding factor on choosing a breeding from our farm! We’ve got a great program and are seeing the positive results as we continue to add quality herdsires. We can show you alpacas, fiber/yarn samples and in many cases, the awesome cria we’ve produced.

Give us a call, come for a visit and check out our herdsire row!

We can bring our boys to you, offer discounts for multiple purchases, and are open to trading and bartering!

Doc is making COLORS! Doc has produced a full Accoyo medium Fawn daughter, a medium brown 7/8

Accoyo son, and 1/2 Accoyo bay black daugh-ter! Doc did not show due to a major illness as a yearling, however, he has produced some AWESOME cria. Fiber samples are ready. They easily show that with just the dams on our farm, Doc has consistently produced quality cria. He has proven he will improve on the dam from all aspects. His conformation is spot-on; he has a typey Accoyo wooled blocked face and head. My Accoyo Doc Holiday is a fawn full Accoyo out of NWA, LTD Accoyo's Goldsmith and a grandson of the incomparable Peruvian Felix, as well as

8Peruvian Accoyo the Last Don! To put it simply, Doc is a rare full Accoyo fawn that descends from pure royalty! Doc is a rich light fawn who has already produced a num-ber of colored cria. His bloodlines are wonderful, and all one has to do is look at the quality of his cria, to see that he is carrying on the family tradition!! We are very excited to present Peruvian Donnchadh, Donnie, a full Peruvian - half Accoyo for your breeding consideration! Donnie is a super looking guy that is full Peruvian, 1/2 Accoyo and 1/4 Alianza. This guy comes from royalty as his dam is a Royal Fawn daughter who took blue at AOBA in 1999, and his dad, Nyala's Perucoyo Tamer-lane took five Blue Ribbons and numerous reds during his excellent show career.

Donnie has great density, crimp and staple length. His conformation is spot on. He has a very nice typey head and stovepipe coverage on his legs. He was truly one cute cria, but he has grown into one awesome looking big guy!! Donnchadh is on "Stud Row" as he has one confirmed pregnancy for fall of 2012!! You can call to book your mobile or drive by breed now. Make sure you get on the schedule for this spectacular young male.

AROD is 5/8 Accoyo and 3/8 Alianza full Peruvian and after seeing his bundled crimpy fiber, we now understand why many refer to this combo as "the golden cross"!! Outstanding fiber characteristics! The names in his pedigree are all awesome. His two grandfathers are Royal Fawn and Accoyo Don Juan- a couple of full Accoyos who sold for a combined $826,000!! Great grandfather on dad's side is the famous full Accoyo Peruvian Augusto!! Check out his 1/2 brother Flash of Lightening THA at Criative Acres Alpacas. Arod's mom, Miss Hillary, is a valuable Royal Fawn daughter, who makes amazing cria. Arod has continued with that tradition and has been up and breeding since the summer of 09. Preston’s Alpacas is proud to introduce another su-per herd sire...Sunrose Rebel Yell! Rebel is an out-standing male who catches your eye the minute you see him. He is a son of Hollywood, out of a gor-geous Medium Silver Grey Dam, A.L. Pacas Gray-titude. Rebel has great conformation and a great head. He is a rich dark brown and we have found some gray fibers in his chest and believe that he will

continue to "gray out" as he gets older. Rebel's head is a thing of beauty and he has a super stance that makes him look like a winner. In his first show he took Blue in a class of 10 at MAPACA under Jude Anderson. Her comments on Rebel were "very typey male with impressive bone density and very straight conformation." "Fleece is fine and very dense, definitely the densest in the class with softness and nice coverage front and rear." Well, that about sums up this awesome looking male. Rebel began his breeding career in the summer of 09 and presently has two cria on the ground, a jet black boy out of a dark brown girl, and a real nice looking medium brown boy. We will consider specials and discounts for multiple breedings and can even offer him in a package with any other alpaca on our farm. Rosehaven Alpacas is nestled in the foot-hills of the Catskills, conveniently located just under 2 hours from NYC. We are close to the Delaware River, Bethel Woods overlook the Villa Roma resort. Rob and I pride ourselves on breeding for temperment, fineness, color and density. We love grey and all of its shades of rose or silver. But then we love all the other colors too. Our white males and our small black herd are just gorgeous. And give me a rich red brown any day!! The yarns and the fabric they can make are just lovely. We got into the business be-cause we fell in love with the alpacas as a stunning, charming animal. And we have continued to fall in love with alpacas because of their versatile fiber and the possibili-ties they have as an ecological and sustainable resource.

If you are looking for some different genetics - come and visit us!!

We are thrilled and honored to own this Champion FULL ACCOYO, Medium Fawn herdsire along with our friends from Whimsical Acres Alpacas Ivy Kirsh-Goldstein and Scott Goldstein. We would like to thank Mary Goodman in allowing us to acquire such a wonderful herdsire. Mary's Accoyo Barbary is the most magnificent macho. He is a Grand Champion winner and multiple Blue Ribbon win-ner and the full brother of Mary's Accoyo Hudson, Champi-on of Champions (by 3 independent judges from Peru, USA and Canada)! Mary feels Barbary is just as fabulous! Barbary is the cross

of the A & B lines of Don Julio Barreda's breeding program in Peru. His sire Camil-io's Accoyo Endurance has won many Get of Sire competitions and Barbary himself is a halter Grand Champion. You will not find a temperament like Barbary's! His personality and attitude are as outstanding as his elite fiber, impeccable conformation and regal presence! Snowmass Invincible and our own Princess Leah criated this absolutely handsome male - Invincible's White Satin Knight. He was as cute as a little stuffed alpaca when he was born, with this really funky topknot. So we started calling him Funky White Boy. We decided to give him a nice name - that would serve him well as a herdsire. But to us, and our friends, he is known as Funky White Boy. The older “Funky” got, the better he got. At SEPA he took a 1st and then followed with Color Championship!! At the NJ show he took another First. As he walked into the ring I was stunned by how he had come into himself, truly a herdsire, deserving to be in the ring. He went on to be Reserve Champion. Wade Geese remarked that his fleece was the fleece of a juvenile.

We ended up showing him through 2010. He went on to win 3 championships and then we couldn't wait any longer to breed him. He had one cria in the spring of 2011 and 3 in 2012. His first cria - is a Rose Grey girl!! Very exciting - and incredible fleece. A white boy who throws color!

Lord Stirling, our pride and joy from Captain Nemo, has 10 Blue Ribbons, 2 color championships and 1 reserve championships. He has even beaten some of those big boys - you always hear about!! A great personality, a great temperament and a pleasure to watch in the fields or in the ring. The very first class he was in - MAPACA in 2007 - was quite an interesting class. Amanda proclaimed that it had the best group of Juvie greys she had seen. She wasn't wrong, the 1st through 5th places have all gone on to champions or reserve champions. Stirling has been doing very well with crias. Last year he had 2 mahogany colored and one a beautiful dark silver grey tuxedo that looks like a chip of the old block.

Accoyo Angelo is a very handsome Beige Full Accoyo male with a beautiful fleece. His Full Accoyo sire is El Nino's Accoyo Michelangelo who has one of the densest fleeces in the country. Angelo has correct conformation with thick, strong bones. He has wonderful density, nice brightness and a very long staple. Angelo's fleece exhibits a beautiful crimp with excellent fleece coverage traveling down through his toes. He has a medium frequency crimp that is very fine. At 1 year old, his histogram read; AFD:19.0, SD: 3.3. Will this Full Accoyo male produce color? We're hopeful he will. His sire is famous for producing all colors, even grays and that is a strong positive for Angelo. In addi-tion, Angelo's dam has a big brown spot on her hip and has produced a fawn cria, plus Angelo also has large black spots of color around his eyes. We think his chances are very good for covering color. Angelo has a sweet mellow personality and is a joy to be around. He has started his breeding career and we are ex-pecting cria in 2012. Accoyo Angelo is proudly co-owned with our friends Ivy and Scott Goldstein, at Whimsical Acres Alpacas, where Angelo currently lives.

Come and get your Grey on!! We are proud to own Peruvian Granger from the breed-ing farm of Avalon Farm in Michigan, where he gar-nered 3 championships and multiple blues for Avalon. He has championed under Kristen Buhrmann, Wade Gease and Tim Lavan in some very difficult shows. He is out of the famous Peruvian Black Epic, son of 4Peru-vian Black Magic. Granger has high frequency crimp, excellent density and a soft hand. He has a well balanced body, excellent conformation, and a proud, upright pres-

ence. This is a male definitely worth consideration for breeding. He fits perfectly into our Herdsire row of fine Grey males, right along Captain Nemo, Lord Stirling and our new Basquiat. We have bred him to many of our girls. We are very pleased with the fleece and the color that he is producing. See what he can do for your farm! Consider a package of 3 breedings to our greys. Silver Spoon Basquiat is new to the East Coast. Coming from the breeding program of Jenny Jonak from Silver Spoon Alpacas. Bas is a silver grey champion of the famous Aussie Rockford. His dam is RomanceBas who did very well in the ring on the West Coast ,always end-ing up in the top 3 with the Crescent Moon boys and the top silver breeders out on the West Coast. He has start-ed breeding and now has 2 crias on the ground. He has thrown an exact duplicate of himself as a cria - when

everyone thought he was white, but deep down he was silver grey. His 2nd cria is a dark bay with a fading fawn underbelly. The color is so rich and so different that we named the new cria (with Jenny's help!) Basquiat's Brulee!! aHe is already dense and has good structure to his fleece. So far it seems that Bas is throwing his exquisite dense and well structured consistent fleece. His crias are fine and still dense. If you are looking for a silver who is throwing excellent fleece stop by and see Basquiat. We don’t think you will be disappointed.

Our farm is going into the 4th and 5th generations of ownership. In 1994 my dad and brother retired from dairy farming. I moved back in 2003 to help subsidize the proper-ty taxes and other expenses. The tillable acreage and part of our barn are leased for hay and storage. July through October a small vegetable stand is stocked with farm fresh homegrown produce. Our delicious sweet corn and numerous varieties of pump-kins are local favorites. And since we are still active with some farm chores, weather permitting, we have first and second cutting hay for sale. June of 2010 four male companion alpacas and a stud arrived from Big Rock Alpacas. The neighbors are still talking and amazed “Never thought, never thought not on that farm”. Not seeing cows on this farm was difficult for all of us. We needed something and alpacas seemed to be the best option. The visitors started coming and I don’t know who enjoys the visits more my dad or the kids. Of course the alpacas love to see visitors come because it means they will probably get a treat. They come to the gate looking whenever they see a car or truck stop by. Over 200 visitors came to see the alpacas when we held our first Farm Fest in October 2010. Visitors participated in games and hayrides, and enjoyed potato-corn chowder and other treats made of our home-grown produce. It was such a big hit we hope to make Farm Fest an annual event with more games and attractions each year. Our farm and family have always welcomed visitors. So please feel free to stop by and enjoy our hilltop view -- just don’t forget to say hello to the alpacas.

This three year old is ready...to charm his way into your heart and the hearts of your dams.

His dense white fleece and even temperament are just a couple desirable qualities of this fine boy.

I encourage you to make a trip to our farm to see

him. Rates are negotiable. We can make the trip to your farm or you are welcome to our farm.

Don’t pass up an opportunity to take a look at this guy. Skashno’s parents are both locally owned by the Emersons of JME Big Rock Alpacas.
