SEPTEMBER STUDENTS OF THE MONTH Congratulations to our September Students of the Month! Kindergarten—Liam Tripp, 1st Grade—Owen Trecaso, 2nd Grade—Kaiden Wade, 3rd Grade—Jaz Morris, 4th Grade—Carter Deitrick, 5th Grade—Antoine James, 6th Grade—Supriya O’Neil, 7th Grade—Michael Shumaker, and 8th Grade—Madison Moegerle.

SCHOOL LUNCHES Lunch orders with payment are due on the first day of the school week - one envelope with payment per family. If your child is absent on the first day of the school week, please send their lunch order and payment on the first day they return. Each lunch is $2.75 per day or $13.75 per week, per child. Please clearly mark the front of the envelope with each of your children’s names and grades and which days your child will be wanting the hot lunch tray. Children who are enrolled in the free or reduced-price lunch/milk program need to order lunch in the same way, indicating on the front of an envelope which days their child(ren) will be eating our hot lunch.

If you pack your child’s lunch, please remind them that you intend for them to eat their packed lunch, and not request a hot lunch tray instead. If your child inadvertently forgets their packed lunch, we will feed your child the hot lunch, and will expect payment for that lunch on the next school day. While we try to be accommodating, we make our food purchases and plan our daily lunch count on the first day of the school week. Please help us to be efficient and economical with our lunch program.

EIGHTH GRADE FALL FUNDRAISER Please support the eighth grade, they are raising funds for their Washington DC trip by selling Erinn Laine 8 oz. Candles at $8.00 each.

DRESS DOWN/SPIRIT WEAR DAY Thursday, October 11 students may wear school appropriate dress down or spirit wear clothes with a donation. Suggested amount is $1.00.

VISITING AUTHOR Sally Rippen, author of Billie B Brown books will be at our school on Tuesday, October 23. She will give two presentations (PreK-4 and 5-8) to our students. A pre-order form is attached if you wish to purchase a book and have it signed by Sally Rippen.

AKRON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL KIDS “Just Jude the Super Dude” can always count on his sister, “Glitter Girl” Jane Sanford, for support. They were at the Circle K Great Lakes Hero Zone at mile 8 of the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon.

SCHOOL CLOSED OCTOBER 12 A reminder, there is no school on Friday, October 12.

ALTAR SERVER TRAINING Altar server training for all interested 4 - 8 grade students begins Sunday, October 21. Please see the attached form.

PICTURE RETAKES Wednesday, October 24. Please wear school appropriate clothes, no jeans. For re-takes: have your child bring the complete photo package back to the photographer on the 24th. If your child was absent on our original picture day, please contact the office for an order form.
