Stewardship Generosity “You, son of man, I have appointed watchman for the house of Israel.” - Ezekiel 33:7 Many of us are generous with our gifts. However, how often is our generosity at the minimum level required? We do just enough or give just enough. Remember, the Lord calls us to be Stewards, gen-erous with all the gifts He has given us, to grow them and return them with increase.

Jesus, beloved Savior,

in remembering these terrible events,

we recognize our great need

for Your guidance and protection.

We have painfully learned that our county is vulnerable

and that violence can disrupt both individuals and

nations, We pray for healing for all the people whose

lives were shattered in the attacks,

We pray for those who defend freedom,

We pray for wisdom for our national leaders,

We pray for peace, for our country and our world,

Jesus, beloved Savior, as we remember,

hold us in Your loving hands.

Lord Teach Me To Pray - Men

Wednesday, Sept 20th, 7PM

Lord, Teach Me To Pray, is a three-part prayer series for men based on Ignatian Spirituality. Part 1, “Praying Christian Vir-tues”, helps deepen prayer life. It introduces the different meth-ods of Ignatian prayer; of meditation, contemplation and con-sciousness. We are forming a small group of men to meet with a trained facilitator for about 1 hour once a week to pray and faith share, over a 13 week period.

In the past few years, a number of men from our church have participated in the “Lord, Teach Me To Pray” experi-ence. Faith Sharing is the cornerstone and blessing of this approach, which is uniquely uplifting and powerful. Our faith sharing is personal, and is not commented on by oth-ers, which is fundamental to its success and is its strength.

Our openness and trust in one another has enabled us to become brothers in faith.

We will begin meeting on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in the church in the area next to the altar. Please use the parking lot side door. To register for the men’s group, contact Paul Tom-lin at 609 992-2129, or at [email protected]. Or you can simply come to our first meeting.

For more information regarding the full program series, go to www.lordteachmetopray.com.
