"This is how it is with the
kingdom of God; it is as if a
man were to scatter seed on
the land? Of its own accord
the land yields fruit, first the
blade, then the ear, then the
full grain in the ear. And when
the grain is ripe, he wields the
sickle at once, for the harvest
has come." - Mk 4:26, 28-29

FROM FR. MICHAEL
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Today Jesus teaches about the Kingdom of God. In truth, all of Jesus’ teachings
are about Gods kingdom. Jesus uses the image of a seed to convey a deep yet
simple truth about Gods kingdom. Seeds, for example a mustard see, are in-
credibly small, yet, if tended well, grow into large plants. So too with the king-
dom of God. Often it is the small, simple, every day acts of forgiveness, love,
understanding and compassion that, if communicated through our words and
actions, bring about large examples of the Kingdom of God. We are created for
Gods kingdom; we are called to bring about Gods kingdom. Every time we
strive to love God and others, we are bringing about the Kingdom of God. May
we be ever more kingdom people this week.
Peace and all good,
Fr Michael
