BISHOP STIKA’S PRAYER

INTENTION FOR MARCH

Through the intercession of St.

deeper understanding of why we

are called to pray, fast, and give

alms during Lent; and as we do,

please continue to pray for me,

and I will pray for you, as I mark

my 10th anniversary as your

Empty Nesters Workshop begins Sunday

Evening with the Sisters Announcement Come to an evening with the sisters! Young women 18 and over are invited to join the Reli-gious Sisters of Mercy for prayer, dinner, and a Q & A session about religious life and discern-ment. It will begin at 4:30pm at the Mary, Mother of Mercy Convent (6832 S Northshore Dr, Knox-ville, TN 37919). Please RSVP and send any questions to Erica Pereira at [email protected] or 215-390-0963.

ATTENTION

ALL TEENS

Our teenagers are exposed to so much in school, peer circles, and social media including suicide, drugs and drinking, sex, abuse, killings, gay “marriage”, gender confusion and the list goes on. Isn’t it time we expose them to the treasures of their Catholic faith, such as Eucharistic miracles, incorruptible Saints, chastity, God’s plan for mar-riage, the power of the sacrament of confession, the evil of abortion, apologetics, and powerful con-version stories? Catholic Teens United is a pro-gram in the Diocese of Knoxville for our Catholic teens, from 8th grade to college. We meet monthly at area parishes to expose our teens to the truth of Catholicism, empower them to make an impact on our world through prayer in Eucharistic Adoration, and help them grow in holiness through the sacra-ment of Confession. We will conclude with snacks and discussion.

Our next CTU gathering is Sunday, April 7th, from 2-4pm at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Hall. Fr. David Mary from Benton, TN will be giving a talk on THE REAL PRESENCE OF CHRIST IN THE EUCHARIST. This is such a crucial element of our Catholic faith and our teens will be blessed to at-tend this amazing talk! Parents are welcome to at-tend, too.
