Today’s Meditation The idea, dream, and reality of family is so strong and durable that we use it to describe all that is best about human gatherings. We speak of the family of nations, of our church and parish families. The greatest compliment we can pay a friend or gracious host is to say that we feel at home with them, we feel part of the family. Families are the

first crucibles in which love is tested and tempered. Jesus himself was one of three people who lived in the shadow of each other. This family, like our own, did not always “get it right,” but they always tried to. These three “amateurs” were on holiday, and one of them got lost. Two were worried sick and took great measures to find the third, a boy after all, who was seeking the meaning of his calling. He found his vocation—to do his Father’s work—but he also returned home with his parents. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.

We Welcome all Visitors!

Welcome to St. Stanislaus Parish. We are happy you chose to be with us today. If you are traveling, we pray for your safe journey. If you live in the Wilmington area, we hope you will return soon to worship with us.

Our Mission Statement

In recognition of God’s love and presence in every human being, the members of Saint Stanislaus Parish embrace the challenge to serve God and all His people. In fellowship with one another, we nurture our Catholic Faith through the celebration of the sacraments and reflection on the word of God. As a welcoming and culturally diverse Faith Community, we strive to proclaim and live the good News of Jesus Christ while providing for the spiritual and physical needs of those less fortunate.

Priests’ Welfare & Retirement Collection January 5th & 6th

St. Stanislaus Parish is now assessed over $10,200 annually for the Priests Welfare & Retirement Fund of the Diocese of Raleigh. We have collected only $2,955.00, so far in this fiscal year. (July 2018-June 2019). What we do not receive in these special collections must be paid from our general funds.

This collection is different than the special collection we participated in during early December to support Retired Religious. That was a national collection to assist religious orders (brothers & sisters); this collection is to assist Priests in the Diocese of Raleigh. Please be as generous as you can. Your donations help honor those who have served our families faithfully. Thank you for you generosity.

Mass for Life and NC Right to Life

The Diocese of Raleigh is partnering with NC Right to Life to continue the tradition of taking a stand for the dignity of every human life, from conception to natural death. The Diocesan Mass for Life will be celebrated by Bishop Luis Zarama on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral, 715 Nazareth St. in Raleigh at 11:00 am. All the faithful of North Carolina are invited to participate in the NC Rally for Life at 1:00 pm and the NC March for Life at 2:00 pm at the Halifax Mall in Downtown Raleigh. The Invocation will be by Bishop Luis Raphael. The keynote speaker will be Dr. George Delgado, a national Catholic Speaker on Pro-Life themes, and is a regular on "Catholic Answers Live". Along with the keynote speaker there will be live music, youth speakers, local politicians and much more.

Special Wedding Anniversaries

With the New Year coming we would like to know if any of our couples will be celebrating their 50th, 60th or 70th

Wedding Anniversary.

We are aware of just one but if you are celebrating in 2019 please let Rebecca in the office know.

You may call 910-675-2336
