  • never had an issue filling these up, but this year we have more than enough girls and can take quite a few more boys from 9th to 12th grade. Teen ACTS is March 8-11th. Sadly, with Spring Break and the retreat we are going to skip movie night for March. There is just too much going on and we will restart in April. These are great nights. Thanks Coach Stacie, John Montes and crew for making these evenings work! In Him, Fr. Pat

A MESSAGE FROM FATHER PAT Dear St. Pius X Community, We have decided to get aggressive with our marke ng and incen ves to join our school. I will be going to other parishes to preach and talk about our school so I will be missing a few more Masses than usual. Thanks to Fr. Cesar for helping out with the extra Masses. First, we are engaging our present and very loyal families. If a school family refers another student, when the new family is enrolled for the second year, we will give our current school family 25% off one child’s tui on for that year. Second, if the new parents commit to extra volunteer hours to help quickly integrate into community, we will offer them 50% off tui on for the first semester and 25% off for the second semester. We have a great school and it is far from capacity. We offer tours every day and students can shadow almost every day! We have many door issues. I think we know about all of them. Please be pa ent with this process. All the doors are old and have very expensive mechanisms. It doesn’t help that the soils here are so very expansive and everything keeps moving. We are finalizing the choir project. I didn’t want to build the pla orm ll we knew if we had enough room. That was good as we didn’t have enough room and have removed another pew sec on. Once this is finished, it will look much more like it was inten onal and not like a crazy priest is removing pews so that random people have to stand. Thanks to all those that have made the fish fries an amazing success. We had almost 150 people last week. The profit goes to the parish, but more importantly, it is bringing people together. Thanks Kevin Bowman and Brian O o for spearheading this project. That said, we are adding one more on the 23rd of March a er Spring Break weekends. Food is open to the world and volunteering is open to everyone. If you want to help, it is great fun, just let parish office know. We need BOYS for the Teen ACTS retreat. We have

An Act of Cosmic Love at the Heart of Crea on It is in the Eucharist that all that has been created finds its greatest exalta on. [I]t is the living center of the universe, the overflowing core of love and of inexhaus ble life. Joined to the incarnate Son, present in the Eucharist, the whole cosmos gives thanks to God. Indeed the Eucharist is itself an act of cosmic love… . The Eucharist joins heaven and earth; it embraces and penetrates all crea on.

    Examining Our Conscience

Today’s readings are invi ng us to remember and follow the commandments. Israel received these rules when sojourning through the desert. The people, as the me went on, forgot the importance of it. In our busy lives we tend to forget or to pay li le a en on to what the Lord tells us. And then God sent to Israel inspired men and women to remind the people what they promised back there in the desert. The true embodiment of that ministry of prophecy was Christ.

It reminds me when I was li le and forgot to follow my mama and papa’s rules. Some mes I got scolded and reprimanded because of it. God does the same to us, but in His case He does it with the understand-ing that we need to be enlivened and encouraged through the voice of Christ.

His voice is simple, beau ful and merciful. David the king says: “Let us fall by the hand of God, for He is most merciful; but let me not fall by the hand of man” (II Samuel 24:14). Through the Holy Spirit we acknowledge that in Christ we find the Just Judge. Take some me this week to peruse God’s commandments and pinpoint whichever you need to grow in.
