114th Sunday in Ordinary Time Second Collection - Campaign for Human Development

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you

and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my

yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

Hopefully by now everyone has received this year’s Summer Repairs envelope. This yearly collection is solely dedicated to major repair

projects around the parish. This year we would like to address the crumbling sidewalks and

curbs ($60,000), recoat the school roof to extend the warranty 10 years ($20,000) and replace one of the two air conditioning units in the

Church that is old and essentially unrepairable ($48,500). As you well know property repairs are expensive. We are confident we have fair and honest quotes and would like to proceed

with the repairs before the fall. I am asking for $100 per family, more is ok! If you are not able

to contribute that is fine, I fully realize the challenges of the times in which we are living. We have a great parish and together as a faith community we will walk with confidence into the future. Thank you for your past generosity

and have a wonderful summer! Msgr. Vance
