St. Peter’s CCC Preschool
November, 2011October has been a busy, but very fun
month for both children and teachers! We
enjoyed meeting all the grandparent
visitors and singing a few special songs for
them. The field trip was also a great time
as we learned more about trees and ani-
mals. Everyone is looking forward to
Halloween and all the costumes we will
see at school!
Just a quick Halloween Reminder:
Children should wear their costume to
school. Please do not send any extra
parts as we do not want them to get lost
or broken at school.
November will bring feasts, parent con-
ferences, and many other things to be
thankful for! Thank you for being part of
St. Peter’s CCC– we have a wonderful
bunch of children and families to work
with!

The meetings for this year will be in November, January, March, and May. The first meeting will be Wednesday, November 9th at 7pm.

St. Peter CCC Preschool November 2011 St. Peter’s CCC Preschool Parent Board
Membership:Every family is a member of the Parent Board. All parents are invited to attend meetings to voice their ideas to help guide the program. The Parent Board is not a decision making body. Meetings and Minutes:Meetings will be held in September, November, January, March, and May. An agenda will be sent to all families one week before the meeting. Minutes will be sent to all families as part of the monthly newsletter. Committees:Committees will be created on a need basis. For example, if it is decided to repaint the walls, a parent committee may be created to propose to the church board, gather quotes, and/or do the work.
Kindness Curriculum: During October all the classes talked about pets and what we have to do to take care of them. We also discussed the animals in the shelter. Each class made scarves for the PAWS shelter. We are collecting newspaper, towels, blan-kets, dryer sheets, Dawn, or paper towels. If you wish to donate, please send these things in by November 10th. For November, we will be talking about helping children for Christmas. We will read the story “The Little Drum-mer Boy” by Jack Ezra Keats. We will relate the story to how we can all help others with little by giving them a shoebox of toys. The children will be bringing home a flyer about Operation Christmas Child the first week of November. This program has the children donate a shoe box full of things for children in Africa for Christmas. These boxes will be due by November 17th.
