DIVINE WISDOM The Lord’s message, through Moses, was to “take no revenge and cherish no grudge . . . love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18). We might think, “Great in theory, but not always realistic!” Then Jesus in today’s Gospel goes even further. Take a slap in the face and then turn the other cheek? Treat enemies the same as friends? Again, we’re tempted to think that those are nice ideals, but not very practical in the “real world.” Paul echoes Jesus when he tells the Corin-thians that what passes for human wisdom is absurdity to God. Divine wisdom casts sun-shine on the good and the bad, showers rain on the honest and the dishonest—without dis-tinction. We must examine our wisdom and common sense to see how they compare to the wisdom of God, and make adjustments accordingly.

Dear Friends, With a bit of a delay, but still from the bot-tom of my heart I would like to thank all of you for sharing my joy, as I celebrated the twentieth Anniversary of Ordination to the Priesthood. It was truly moving to see so many of you join me in giving thanks to God for this marvelous vocation He called me to follow over twenty years ago. And so, thank you for your presence - weather in person or in spirit; thank you for all the prayers and support all of you offered over the years - please don’t stop; thank you for your love and friendship we have shared; and thank you for all the gifts. Your gener-osity exceeded my expectation one could have! May God continue to bless each one of you and reward your goodness to me! With gratitude and prayer, Fr. Piotr
