Save the date! Totus Tuus in coming Back!!!!! Mark your Calendars! The week of July 8th through July 13th Totus Tuus Summer

Youth Program is returning to St. Peter Damian Catholic Church. This week-long Catholic youth program is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the

Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship for students entering grades 1st -12th .

The program strives to help young people to understand their faith through catechesis so that they may live in today’s world and help develop their relationship with Jesus Christ, all with the emphasis on

FUN!

Totus Tuus calls upon college students and seminarians from Chicago and across the United States to carry out its mission. These teachers are hired for their love of the faith, energy, enthusiasm, ability to

work as a team, commitment to spiritual growth, and desire to work with the youth. The teams consist of two men and two women for each parish.

The Grade School Program is designed for children entering first through sixth grade in the 2017-2018 year. Class Sessions will be part of the day, but Totus Tuus makes sure that the kids have FUN too! There

is a “pump up” to start each day, snack break in the morning, recess and “cool down” after lunch, and a skit break in the afternoon. This program will run Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th from

9:00am to 2:30pm.

The Junior High/High School Program will offer evening sessions for youth entering 7th -12th grades. College aged teachers are used because they can effectively

impact the high school youth. Two reasons have been noticed: the close proximity of age and ability to establish mentor relationships (i.e. big brother or big sister). The

Totus Tuus High School Program includes instruction, small group discussions, quiet meditation, prayer, and fellowship. The

Junior High/High School program will run Sunday, July 8th through Thursday, July 12th

from 7:00-9:00pm.

Join a ministry and know the joy of serving Christ. 5

Please remember this couple in your prayers as they prepare for their marriage:

to all the teens that helped stuff eggs, set up the egg hunt and run the games. Words cannot express how much your volunteering made so many children smile!

Adult Faith Formation Presents The Footprints of God: Abraham - Father of Faith and Works He left his home, the bones of his ancestors and the false gods of his fathers to follow the God of glory. Excruciating trials, weary miles of desert travel, and even the command to offer his son Isaac as a sacrifice did not deter him. Mount your camels and ride back in time to discover Abraham, the only man called the “Friend of God.” Born into a pagan family in the idolatrous city of Ur among ziggurat temples and foreign gods of Mesopotamia, Abraham heard the call of God and abandoned everything to go to the faraway land of promise. When required to offer his son as a sacrifice, Abraham held the course and pledged trust and obedience to God. Join the adventure as host Stephen Ray, best-selling author and popular Bible teacher, takes you on location in an exciting journey through Iraq, Turkey, the Palestinian Territories and Israel. You’ll see the temple where Abraham was born, the place he offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice, and the Tomb of the Patriarchs where he is buried. Learn how Abraham was justified before God by faith, obedience and good works. This amazing saga sweeps through the Book of Genesis from creation to the journey into Egypt. The session will be conducted in the Rectory Meeting Room at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 26. Following the video presentation, there will be a discussion period Please call the parish office to register. No fees are charged.
