St Patrick’s Day Facts• St Patrick’s Day became popular in the 1840/50’s

because of Irish migration to America.• St Patrick’s Day is a day to respect the Irish.• It is a tradition to pinch people for not wearing

green on St Patrick’s day. People do this to remind the person to wear green the next year or to remind them that it’s St Patricks day. It’s also a good reason to pinch someone randomly.

Who was St Patrick?• St Patrick wasn’t actually Irish. Not even a

tiny bit. St Patrick was the patron saint of Ireland and is one of Christianity’s most well known Saints. There have famous stories of St Patrick, like when he supposedly banished all the snakes from Ireland, but these stories are really untrue.
