Thank you A special thank you to Lady Suzy Watt who very kindly provided our Christmas tree for the Reception area and to The Giles Family for providing the tree in the Hall. Teigan in TS Eliot and Miss Wheeler visited Lady Watt’s residence in Hurst to personally choose the tree, which is in Reception. I think you will agree they both look fabulous!

Whole School Christmas Craft Day, Wednesday 18th December We are asking parents for a voluntary contribution of £3.00 towards the cost of materials. If you do wish to contribute to our Craft day, this can be paid via Tucasi or directly to the school office with cash. We would also like as many parent volunteers to help us on the day! Please let the office know if you can help. Thank you.

Christmas Jumper Day, Friday 20th December (LAST DAY OF TERM) On the last day of term, pupils are very welcome to come to school wearing their most festive jumper to raise money for Save the Children! They should wear jumpers together with their usual school trousers/skirts. Voluntary cash donations are very welcome please. School will close at 1.30pm.

Reminder: Return of Non-Fiction Library Books Please can children return all non-fiction library books to the Office by Friday 13th December at the latest. Thanks! Sad News It is with great sadness that we have received the news that our longest-serving volunteer, Mr Jim Hoskins, has died. Mr Hoskins tirelessly supported our chess players for more than 16 years, offering a high standard of coaching in our lunch-time and after-school clubs. His passion for the game together with his kindness and patience inspired many of our children to enter chess competitions, and Mr Hoskins would often give up his weekends to be there to support them. His coaching skills resulted in many individual and team successes over the years and engendered a love of the game among pupils of St Nicholas school. An enormous number of pupils and parents, past and present, feel so grateful for what Mr Hoskins taught them; they will treasure their memories of such a special educator.
