Council of Catholic Women
Join us the third Tuesday of each month, September thru May for Mass at 7:00 P.M., followed by a 7:30 P.M. meeting and light refreshments.
Are you registered in the parish? Please do not take for granted that you are registered in the parish just because you attend mass here. If we have no record of your parish membership it could be quite embarrassing to us, or to you or your family, when some-one wishes to make wedding plans, have a baby baptized, or if you have been asked to act as a sponsor for baptism or confirmation. Please fill out a census form, which is located at the entrances of the Multi Celebrational Building (MCB), and mail it to the parish office.
Baptism
Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday after the 12:00 Noon Mass. Parents must be registered and active members of the parish for at least three months. No confirmed dates are given before approval by the pastor. Contact the parish office two months in advance. Godparents must be confirmed, practicing, Roman Catholics and must obtain a sponsor certificate from their parish. In order to avoid disappointments, do not book travel plans with family, Godparents, etc. until a confirmed date has been assigned through the parish office (561) 966-8878.
Marriages
Notify the parish office at least four months in advance.
Ministrations to the Sick
We appreciate knowing when a parishioner is in the hospital or homebound. Please call the parish office.
GOD HAS A DIFFERENT PLAN
We begin the season of Advent with a heartfelt call for our own repentance. We remember God's faithful love for us, and call upon God to help us to turn back. For "behold, you are angry, and we are sinful" (Isaiah 64:4). In the first reading and in the psalm, we recall God's promises and lament our unfaithfulness and our guilt. We call upon God's might and power in order to save us. With Isaiah, we ask God to "rend the heavens and come down, with the mountains quaking before you" (Isaiah 63:19). Yes, God is faithful to us, because we are the work of God's hands. God is the potter, we are the clay. And yet, our concept of how God will come to save us is rooted in our own expectations of a warrior God who crushes mountains and thunders into our lives with great noise and glory. But God has a different plan: the Incarnation.
We are the clay and you, O LORD, are the potter:
we are the work of your hands (Isaiah 63:16b-17, 19b; 64:2-7).
Lord, make us turn to you; let us see your face and we shall be saved (Psalm 80).
God is faithful; by God you were called to fellowship with the Son (1 Corinthians 1:3-9).
Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come. (Mark 13:33-37).

Office of THE BISHOP
November 24, 2017
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito Bishop of Palm Beach
Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
The dedication and hard work of our religious Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests laid the foundation for Catholic schools, hospitals, and numerous social service organizations in our nation. Through generous self-sacrifice and devotion, they offered themselves in service to you so that the Catholic faith might shine for the glory of God. Now as age and infirmity have forced them to slow down, we are given an opportunity to say thank you for their example of faith, hope and love.
At Masses on December 9 and 10 our Diocese will have a special collection for the Retirement Fund for Religious, an annual collection that benefits nearly 33,000 senior sisters, brothers, and religious order priests. Their ongoing prayer and witness enrich our faith in countless ways.
This fund offers financial support that helps religious communities provide loving care for older mem-bers while ensuring younger ones can continue the good works of their elders. Rising health-care costs and decreased income compound the challenge to meet such day-to-day needs as medications and nursing assis-tance.
I am grateful for the service of religious, past and present. I hope you, too, recall a sister or brother who made a positive difference in your life.
With gratitude for your continued generosity and every prayerful wish, I am
