Sadly, over the past three weeks, our pines in the cemetery are experiencing a horrible blight which is killing them. Many are already dead and will pose a risk

sooner rather than later to people walking or cars parked there. Over the next two weeks they will be removed and replaced by smaller trees over the summer.

Seventh Sunday of EasterA READING FROM THE ACTS OF THE APOSTLESStephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of

Godand Jesus standing at the right hand of God,and Stephen said, “Behold, I see the heavens openedand the Son of Man standing at the right hand of

God.”But they cried out in a loud voice, covered their ears, and rushed upon him together. They threw him out of the city, and began to stone

him.The witnesses laid down their cloaksat the feet of a young man named Saul.As they were stoning Stephen, he called out,“Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”Then he fell to his knees and cried out in a loud voice,“Lord, do not hold this sin against them;”and when he said this, he fell asleep. The word of the Lord Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM

The Lord is king, the most highover all the earth.

A READING FROM THE HOLY GOSPELACCORDING TO ST. JOHNLifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed saying:“Holy Father, I pray not only for them, but also for those who will believe in me through their

word,so that they may all be one,as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us,that the world may believe that you sent me.And I have given them the glory you gave me,so that they may be one, as we are one,I in them and you in me,that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me,and that you loved them even as you loved me.Father, they are your gift to me.I wish that where I am they also may be with me,that they may see my glory that you gave me,because you loved me before the foundation of the

world.Righteous Father, the world also does not know you,but I know you, and they know that you sent me.I made known to them your name and I will make it

known, that the love with which you loved memay be in them and I in them.

”The Gospel of the Lord Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ

A READING FROM THE BOOK OF REVELATIONI, John, heard a voice saying to me:“Behold, I am coming soon.I bring with me the recompense I will give to eachaccording to his deeds.I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

Blessed are they who wash their robesso as to have the right to the tree of lifeand enter the city through its gates.

“I, Jesus, sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches.

I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star.”

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.”Let the hearer say, “Come.”Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water.

The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

The word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.

Hartley’s First Mass Updates!

Bus Signups Signups for the bus to Hartley’s Ordination at

St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Saturday, May 28 will begin this week. The bus is free of charge;

however, signups will be on a first come first serve basis. Limited seating is available! Sign up at the Parish Center as soon as possible if

you want a spot!

First Mass Celebration After Hartley’s first Mass on May 29, we are having a huge celebration in his honor. There will be food, soft drinks, beer, and even ice

cream catered by The Ice Mother! You do not want to miss out!!!

This was something a mom in the parish shared with me. It appeared in the bulletin at St. Mary's way back on Mother's Day

in 1999. A Mother’s Day Story Once upon a time in heaven, there was a baby waiting to be born. One day the baby asked God, “They tell me You are sending me to earth today, and I’m really scared. How am I going to live, being so small and helpless?” And God answered, “From among my millions of angels, I chose one special one for you. It will be waiting for you, and will take good care of you.” “But, here in Heaven, all I do is sing and smile and laugh – I don’t need to go to earth to be happy.” “Your angel will sing for you, and smile with you and laugh with you every day. And you will feel your angel’s love and be happy” But how am I going to understand when people talk to me? I don’t know the language those people speak.” “Your angel will talk to you in the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, will teach you how to speak” “And what am I going to do when I want to talk to You?” “Your angel will place your hands together and teach you how to pray.” “I have heard there are bad people on earth, and I am so small. Who will protect me?” “Your angel will defend you with all the great power at it’s command!” “But I will be so sad, because I will not see You anymore” “Your angel will talk to you about Me all the time, and will teach you the way to come back to Me. And, of course, it will keep reminding you that I am next to you always.” At that moment, voices from the earth could begin to be heard, beckoning the baby to come below. And the child, sadly, hurriedly said to God. “O God, if I really have to leave now, please tell me my angel’s name! And God answered, “Your angel’s name is of no importance. But, as for you, you will call her…Mommy”
