From the Pastor’s Desk:
Fr. Erineo arrived this past week and is staying at the rectory with us for the next four weeks. You will remember Fr. Erineo is the pastor of the parish in which the Miryante Orphanage is located [Pronounced: /merry-ON-tee/]. We have had a relationship with this orphanage in Uganda for many years now. Some of you may even be sponsoring a child there, which is such a blessing for them. Fr. Erineo has visited several times. As part of the diocesan missionary cooperation plan, Fr. Erineo will be preaching all of the Masses in the consortium, as well as St. Mary, Chillicothe, over the next few weeks, with the intention of raising funds for the work of the orphanage. This weekend, he is celebrating and preaching the Masses at both St. Peter and here at St. Mary. I invite your continued generosity towards him and the work of the orphanage. Please keep his visit to the U.S. in your prayers.
Happy Father’s Day to all our fathers, and thank you for imaging the Heavenly Father for us!

In a few short weeks, we have seen a wonderful and generous response to the BISHOP’S ANNUAL APPEAL. We are at 83% of the Diocese goal, and at 45% of Father’s goal. Participation is at 22%, with total pledges of $7,960. Just a reminder that there are envelopes on the table in the back of church, and if for any reason you are not able to give this year, please fill out an envelope and mark “0” for the gift. This way, we know we reached everyone, and you can be included in parish participation. Thank you to everyone who has already supported the Appeal this year!
The SENIOR CITIZENS CELEBRATION will be held in Chillicothe! Come join Bishop Brennan for Mass and a luncheon at St. Mary, Chillicothe, this Tuesday, June 18th. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., followed by the luncheon. For more information, or to request a late registration, call 614-241-2540 or e-mail [email protected] to the Senior Citizen’s Celebration, the Mass scheduled for Tuesday, June 18th, at Bristol Village will be rescheduled to another date.
THE MINISTERIAL ALLIANCE OF PIKE COUNTY would like to begin again holding summer events to get members of various churches together. Grace United Methodist Church will hold the first event for this summer at their Family Life Center on Saturday, June 22nd. Their church will provide food and a concert by The Great Seal of Ohio Band.
