MEN’S A.C.T.S. Faith Sharing Group

SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION

CONFIRMATION /HOLY COMMUNION

In the Diocese of Tyler, Children/Youth who have completed the 3rd grade are eligible to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion. If you have a child that is entering the 3rd grade or who has not been Confirmed or received the Sacrament of Holy Communion please register for Faith Formation, check online option, and fill out a Sacramental Request Form (green form). Information and additional requirements for new requests will be forthcoming.

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (CONFESSION) Children who are in the Second Grade are eligible to receive this Sacrament. If you have a child entering 2nd grade or who has not been to Confession (3rd –12th) Please register for Faith Formation (online option) and fill out Sacramental Request Form (green form). Congratulations to alumnus Giancarlo Petosa (‘20) and senior Ross Harris who recently earned Scouting’s highest honor. To earn the Eagle Scout rank, a Boy Scout must advance through several levels of achievement and earn at least 21 merit badges by fulfilling rigorous requirements in the areas of leadership, service, and outdoor skills. We are very proud of the commitment that Giancarlo and Ross have shown!

Congratulations to Heather Schmitt for earning a place in the Private Schools All-State band! Heather was the 4th highest scoring flute player out of the 65 flute players among all of the private schools in the State of Texas.

MATH POSITION OPENING FOR SPRING

Father Rowland has approved the release of contract documents to the general contractor for final pricing. The final price

The SMM Food Pantry

SMM Food Pantry 2020 had been like any other year for our food pantry until mid March. Coronavirus changed the

way our food pantry operated overnight. Our kitchen volunteers started making to go lunches (160-240) every

Wednesday morning to give to our clients and because of the restrictions on social distancing and limit of capacity in

Peaches Hall, we now serve as a drive through pantry. We want to thank the dedicated volunteers who help bag the

product we buy from East Texas food bank. We also want to thank our volunteers who load clients vehicles(60-80 vehicles

per week).

The SMM food pantry for December 2020 had:

1. 378 Clients. For last year in December 2019 we had 230. This is the biggest month we have had since we have been

keeping track (2017-2020)

2. We gave out 1087 to go meals.

3.We gave out 442 bags of groceries(dry goods, frozen goods, milk, juice, fruit).
