Our chapel service on Wednesday, February 19th will be led by our 7th grade. Our offering is designated for our 2019-2020 Hearts for Jesus mission. Everyone is invited to attend our weekly chapel service that begins around 8:25 am at the church weather permitting. There is no school Monday, February 17th in observance of Presidents’ Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 18. Mark your calendar now for Thursday, February 20 at 6:30 pm. St. Mark’s will be hosting an evening of fun and information called “Jesus’s Love Keeps Us Warm!” The evening will be designed for current preschool and prospective preschool and kindergarten families. While all the children are working on a winter craft in a supervised area, there will be a presentation for the parents. Please no non-preschool aged children. If you have any questions please call the school. Students at St. Mark’s Lutheran School will celebrate Ash Wednesday on February 26th (there will be on communion at the chapel service). Our chapel service will be at 12:30 pm at the church with Pastor Mark leading us. Ash Wednesday derives its name from the placing of ashes on the foreheads of participants to the words "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." We remember Ash Wednesday because it is the beginning of the Lenten season. Christians prepare our hearts for the trials and tribulations that Christ suffered for us by dying on the cross and rising from the dead on Easter morning! There will be a regular church service at 7pm for those wishing to attend in the evening. Maundy Thursday, April 9, 2020 has been added to St. Mark's Lutheran School's Easter Break so there will be NO SCHOOL Thursday, April 9th through Monday, April 13th. Classes resume Tuesday, April 14th.
