SAINT LUKE SCHOOL NEWS

The first half of our school year has been filled with many special events and activities. Listed below are events and activities that ended the month of October and led us into November.

• 6th grade living rosary ceremony • Middle school honors assembly • Virtue of the Month awards for patience • Annual Book Fair that reached record setting profits • Junior Beta Club coin collection for the American Cancer Society ($1200.46 was raised) • Thanksgiving Mass presented by our 2nd grade classes

One of the biggest events of the month was the Parish & School Fall Festival. There was an amazing turn out from our school and parish community, making the event very successful. November concluded with our Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair. The event was beautifully orchestrated to include our students, grades pre-k-5, who sang Christmas carols.

School days during the month of December will be short due to the Christmas holiday. However, there will still be events to carry us through until December 16th.

• Dec. 5th: Advent prayer service, 2nd Grade • Dec. 12th: Advent prayer service, 1st Grade • Dec. 13th: Elementary Christmas Program, 6:30 p.m. • Dec. 15th: School-wide Christmas Mass, 8:15 a.m. • Dec. 16th — Jan. 2nd: No School for Students • Jan. 2nd: Teacher Retreat

We would like to invite you to our Masses listed above for the month of December as well as all other school Masses during the year on Thursdays at 8:15 in the morning. We thank all of you, our parishioners, for your continued support.

Many Blessings this Advent Season, The Administration, Faculty, and Staff of St. Luke School

Eucharistic Adoration

“Speak Lord, for your servant is listening”

(1 Sm 3:1-10). A part of the life of the prophet Samuel is described here. It is an appealing way for us to learn how, and when, to listen to Our Lord when He speaks to us. When we come to Him with a sincere and remorseful heart, His sanctifying grace will posses every sense in our new being, giving us the resource we so desire to come ever-closer to purification of the soul. It’s then when you will be able to hear and feel His presence within you. Visit Jesus in the ADORATION CHAPEL to testify to this miracle. For hourly adoration vacancies, please call Ken Green at 435-3886.
