ABOUT DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS St. Louis Park Dollars for Scholars, affiliated with Scholarship America, is a volunteer, community based organization committed to raising scholarships funds for St. Louis Park High School seniors. It is a locally operated and supported, non-profit, tax-exempt scholarship foundation and has been in existence since 1995. SLP DFS is managed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors committed to increasing the amount of scholarship money available while keeping the cost to a minimum. Our yearly operating cost is less than $1000 – about 1.5% of the scholarships awarded. Our purpose is to encourage academic achievement and to expand access to educational opportunities by providing scholarship assistance. New board members are welcome. COMMENCEMENT CEREMONYInteractive Parking Lot Graduation / Commencement Celebration for the Class of 2020 Tuesday, June 23, 2020 7:30 p.m. | St. Louis Park High School Parking Lot Graduates and their families will participate in an interactive video presentation displayed on large screens as they remain in their vehicles in the St. Louis Park High School parking lot.

COMMENCEMENT CELEBRATION SCHEDULE 6:30 p.m.Parking lot opens to graduates/families; ONE VEHICLE per graduate please!

7:30 p.m.Graduation/Commencement Celebration beginsThe graduation/commencement ceremony will look and sound very much like the traditional stadium ceremony and will include: musical selections from students, comments from school leaders, messages from valedictorians, and the formal presentation-acceptance-commendation of the Class of 2020 as they graduate from St. Louis Park High School. PLEASE NOTE: Per MDE guidance, graduates and families MUST remain in their vehicles for the entire graduation/commencement ceremony.

8:00 p.m.Public Announcement of Graduates & Parade of GraduatesAt the conclusion of the graduation/commencement celebration, graduates and their families will exit the parking lot and graduates will be announced over the loudspeaker by name as a “St. Louis Park High School Graduate of the Class of 2020”. Cars will then proceed to drive around the school in a Car Parade (using the Homecoming Parade Route). St. Louis Park Public Schools and St. Louis Park High School will invite students, teachers, staff, high school neighbors, and ALL community members who want to support the Class of 2020 to line the parade route - at safe social distancing intervals and in groups of less than 10 (or the size that is advised by the Minnesota Department of Health at that time) - to congratulate the graduates of the Class of 2020!

PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday, June 24, 2020 is the RAIN DATEfor the Interactive Parking Lot Graduation/Commencement Celebration for the Class of 2020.
