Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be

held on Sunday, October 1st, from

9:00am to 12:15pm in the Deanery

Resource Center at St. Louis. There is a

$40.00 fee for books and materials. For

Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for

parents who are having their first child

Baptized. The next class will be offered

on Tuesday, October 17th at 7:00pm in

the Deanery Resource Center at St.

Louis. Please call the parish office to

Adoration Chapel The following hours are open for the

Adoration Chapel: Sunday—10:00am,

12:00pm; Monday—3:00am; Friday—

Need Help? If you or someone you know needs help

with some yard work or light home

what needs to be done and send a

chaperoned crew of youth out to your

Visiting Missionary Deacon Fred Tully, from the Diocese of Rapid City, South Dakota, will be with us

next weekend, October 7th & 8th to speak about his mission.

Donations for Hurricane Victims If you would like to make a donation to help with the hurricane relief effort in

Florida, donations can be dropped off at the parish office or put in the Sunday

collection marked “Hurricane Relief.”

St Louis Parish – Job Posting Marketing and Event Coordinator - Part time (15 – 25 hours per week) Job Purpose: The Marketing and Event Coordinator for St. Louis Church will be

responsible for organizing and promoting various St. Louis events and activities.

The Marketing and Event Coordinator will work with internal committees to help

develop and manage their events, as well as ensuring church message and brand

are consistent across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a creative, energetic

and organized team member with the ability to conceptualize, strategize, create

and manage multiple marketing, advertising, public relations and special event

projects concurrently.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate

development of parish and bingo marketing, including; web, print ads, and social

media; Maintain Bingo player database and addresses for mailings and newsletter;

Organize Bingo volunteer schedule and managing registration, payment and

seating for Bingo events; Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities concurrently

Qualifications: Must have strong communication skills. Basic computer skills,

including Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to deliver web content across all

platforms, including website and social media. Familiarity with online marketing

strategies and marketing.

St. Louis School Athletic Board Members Needed If you're passionate about sports and have a desire to continue creating an

awesome sports experience for Saint Louis students, the Saint Louis Athletic Board

is looking to fill 4 vacant board member spots. The duties of the board include

assisting the Athletic Director in establishing and carrying out policies, purchasing,

operating budget management and organizing and operating the two primary

fundraisers, the Cardinal Crawl and an annual Golf event, which provide the

operating funds for all Saint Louis School Athletics. If you're interested and have

All Souls Day Pilgrimage You’re invited! Registration is now open for an archdiocesan All Souls Day

pilgrimage on Thursday, November 2nd. This pilgrimage, led by archdiocesan

vocations director Fr. Eric Augenstein, and Julie Motyka, archdiocesan archivist,

will visit the graves of archdiocesan priests, including Fr. Simon Lalumiere, the first

resident priest in Indiana, and several former bishops and archbishops. The trip

will also include a visit to the St. Mother Theodore Shrine at St. Mary-of-the-Woods,

including a diorama and exhibit about Mother Theodore’s life, and her final resting

place. Pilgrims will board the bus at the Archbishop O’Meara Catholic Center in

Indianapolis at 7:45am and return at 5:30pm. The cost of the pilgrimage is $69

and includes a bag breakfast, lunch, and bus transportation. Please register

Junior High Youth Group The next Jr. High Youth Group is Friday, October 6th! Join us for some great

activities and fun games!

Jr. High Youth Group is for everyone in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and is held on

the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month right after school. We meet in the St. Louis

Cafeteria starting at 3:15pm with snacks before each program. Program activities

end at 4:30pm, and free time with friends from 4:30-5:00pm. Parent pick-up is

between 4:30pm and 5:00pm. If you are coming from Batesville Middle School,

please have your parent talk with your bus driver. Most drivers will drop you off at

St. Louis while picking up the SLS kids.

Called 2 Serve One Day Mission St. Louis Parish Youth Ministries is sponsoring Called 2

Serve, a 1 day local mission on November 4, 2017. Youth in

grades 6-12 and adults are needed to help with this service

project. We will meet at Batesville's Liberty park at 8:30am

for a light breakfast and devotion, disperse in crews to help

local residents with yard work and light home repairs, and

return to Liberty Park at 3:00pm for a snack and share.

Food, drink, and snacks are provided. Registration forms for

youth and adults can be found at the parish office and online.

Tutoring at Oldenburg Academy The NHS tutoring program will begin

soon! It runs from October to April. This

is open to all students in the surrounding

area that needs extra help. Tutoring is

held on Mondays and Wednesdays

after school until 4:15pm in Room 104

at Oldenburg Academy. If you have any
