person has passed, helping with the funeral arrangements and

with a repast if desired; visiting the family after the funeral and

continuing to make connections with them throughout the next

several months and beyond; talking to someone who is grieving a

loved one to help them get through their loss.

CAPUCHIN VOCATIONS- The Capuchin Franciscans are in-

spired by the life and ideals of St. Francis of Assisi-

dedicated to serving those in need, living a simple

lifestyle together as a community of brothers, and

drawing closer to the Lord through common and

private prayer. If you are interested in becoming a

Capuchin brother or priest, please see one of the

friars or go to www.capuchin.org/vocations. It

doesn’t cost a thing and it just might change your

life.

CAMPUS MINISTRY- Are you a SUNY New Paltz student

who would like to be a part of a vibrant Catholic community on

campus? If so, Catholic Campus Ministry

(CCM) may be what you are looking for.

CCM meets every Wednesday night at 7:30

PM in the Student Union Building for fellow-

ship, faith sharing, and pizza. CCM sponsored

events include: community and parish service,

retreats, monthly student masses, fun events,

and an annual mission trip to the Dominican Republic. For more

information contact Hank Grimsland, Catholic Campus Minister

at: [email protected] or by phone at: 845-255-8536.

SMART SHOPPER CARDS- Did you know that you can con-

tribute to your parish community just by buy-

ing your groceries? Through St. Joseph’s

parish, you can purchase cards from

ShopRite, Top’s and Hannaford’s that can be

used towards purchases at those stores. The best part is

that for every $100 you spend using these cards, St. Jo-

seph’s Parish receives $5.00 which goes toward main-

taining the parish and the many activities we sponsor.

The cards are available in $20, $50, and $100 amounts

and can be purchased using cash, check, or credit card. Please

stop by the parish center during business hours (Monday-Friday,

9:00-4:00) to purchase these cards. And don’t forget they make

great gifts as well.
