Southern Tier Pregnancy Care Center is looking to hire a new volunteer Director
We are a Pro-Life non-profit interdenominational organization dedicated to
serving individuals throughout the greater Olean area who are involved
with unexpected pregnancies. The Pregnancy Care Center is seeking a
volunteer Director to carry out day-to-day operations. STPCC maintains a
phone ministry, provides accurate information about all legal options for
pregnancy, and encourages life-giving options through material support,
mentoring throughout a pregnancy and after birth, and mentoring for both
adoption and parenting. The successful candidate agrees
with the mission of the Pregnancy Care Center and will be
dedicated, optimistic, and committed to learning how to
advance a culture of life. Interested candidates should
submit a cover letter and resume to: Mary Jermann STPC

We are still searching for those individuals that would stand
up and take on the position of leadership on the Parish
Council. Our parish would greatly benefit from having one to
assist Father Pat in the decision making process of the parish
and advocate for the needs of our parish. If this is something
that you would be interested in volunteering for, we would
greatly appreciate your efforts in being a blessing to our parish
needs.
Thank you!
We would like to acknowledge and thank Dan & Annette
Horn for all their years of dedication as the “Big Ticket
Sellers” for our annual Festival. They are now resigning this
position and we are hoping that one of our other parish family
members will step up to fill their shoes. Please contact Katie at
the church office 372-5313 if this is something that you may
be interested in. Once again, Thank you Dan and Annette, you
have been a big blessing to our festival .

Dear Friends,
Your outpouring of compassion is evident in the re-
sponse to our collection for hurricane relief. With mini-
mal notice, you contributed over $4400 dollars to aid
our brothers and sisters impacted by the recent hurri-
canes Harvey and Irma. Your monies are being sent
directly to Catholic Charities, USA where 100% of
funds raised go directly towards relief efforts. The latest
news reports of Hurricane Maria and the recent
earthquakes in Mexico indicate that this is going to be a
season of ongoing aid and relief. We hope to respond
with continued generosity.
The baptisms of Chase Kenyon and Addlee Luther
during recent Masses were joyful occasions that al-
lowed our community to witness new birth in the life of
Jesus. Hopefully the trend will continue.
Last Sunday, I attended the opening night of the St.
Clare Lifeteen ministry, held at St. Mary’s school. I was
encouraged by the number of teens, grades 7-12, that
participated. The ministry team led by Ryan Butler does
a great job! The Lifeteen ministry is a wonderful way
for our teens to socialize and learn more about their
faith within an encouraging environment. This Sunday,
September 24, they have their kickoff Mass at 6:30 at
St. Mary’s – everyone is welcome.
Next Sunday, October 1 is National Life Chain Sunday.
I hope you will join me in standing in silent witness for
life. We are asked to meet in Lincoln Park, starting at
1:15, where we will be given instructions and placards.
God’s blessings, Fr. Pat
