The table in the back of the brochure provides you the levels of potassium and phosphorus per 100gr food – just do the math.
In St.John be very careful with the type and amount of food you eat. You can easily exceed the potassium and phosphorus values in the blood putting your health at risk unnecessarily. The same applies to the liquid consumption: it must be well accounted for in order to avoid unpleasant consequences of excessive weight gain. Thus, it is recommended not to exceed the following intakes:

As verified, a single meal exceeds easily the daily allowable amount of potassium and phosphorus so you should:
Choose carefully the foods that you prefer to"eat (do not eat a little of everything );
Eat your meal with the resin and medication for phosphorus control;
Take due care in the preparation of vegetables and potatoes (the evening of soaking, the bake in two waters... see leaflet on Potassium);
On this day it is important to be extra careful with the other meals (until the next dialysis).
Eat green broth, choose to eat using the fork technique (ie, only the cabbage, leaving the broth);
Avoid sardines with potatoes, eat them with bread;"
Skip dessert if you already have ingested potassium-rich foods or opt for cooked fruit" or syrup;
Avoid tomatoes, eat cucumber and peppers instead- but in moderation;
Choose sardines or meat - not the two!
In addition to liquid, wine also gives you potassium - try to escape it.
