Parish News and Events
OUR MISSIONSt. John Neumann is a welcoming community committed to witnessing
to Jesus Christ through Sacraments, word and deed.
Welcome to St. John Neumann! We recognize that every person is on his or her own journey of faith, and we seek to meet you where you are in your journey and provide you with opportunities to grow and learn at your own pace.
New to the parish? Do you regularly attend St. John Neumann? Please take a new member packet from the Information Lobby or visit https://www.saintjohnsunbury.org/about/new-to-parish/ and return the registration form.We want to know you are here and welcome you!Are you over age 23 and still registered on your parent’s record?Let us know you are here and register on your own! This allows us to serve you better. It also establishes you as a member for when you are asked to be a Godparent or Sponsor.
Do you have loved ones who have stopped coming to church?“So our vocation is to go, not just to one parish, not just to one diocese, but all over the world; and to do what? To set people’s hearts on fire, to do what the Son of God did. He came to set the world on fire in order to inflame it with His love. What do we have to desire but that it may burn and consume everything . . . It’s true then, that I’m sent not only to love God but to make Him loved. It’s not enough for me to love God, if my neighbor doesn’t love Him.” – St. Vincent de PaulDo you know an inactive Catholic? Maybe they attend Mass infrequently, such as Christmas and Easter, don’t attend Mass at all, or maybe they are a neighbor of yours who you know is struggling with issues of faith. We have had promising success at reaching out and encouraging inactive Catholics to give St. John Neumann another try. Please call Deacon Carl or Jackie Sutton at the Parish Office, 740-965-1358, and we will call or visit anyone who might want to talk about coming back to the church. Thank you for your discipleship. For further information on this ministry, and suggestions for starting the conversation with those who have stopped going to Mass, visit saintjohnsunbury.org/catholic-life/mission-of-the-seventy-two/.

From altar boy to party boy; From non-denominational mega church backto the Roman Catholic Church. Tim Francis shares with us his quest for truth.
Tim FrancisPresents
He has since conducted over 500 parish missions conveying the meaning of the miracles with results similar to this:
Fallen away son returns after Mother drags him to presentation:“I wanted to thank you for changing my life. My mom went to day 1 of the 3-day mission… she got me to attend the second day… I was an
occasional Mass attendee, mostly holidays. After your talk I made a good confession and now attend Mass DAILY….”
And this one from a fallen away Catholic turned Protestant Pastor:“Without hesitation, nor exaggeration, I can say it was this presentation that was the pinnacle of my return to the Catholic Church…”
36-year-old fallen away Catholic son. His Mother has been praying years for his return to the Church.“Seeing the miracles that no science can refute, and the people personally touched by Jesus and Mary forever changed the direction of my
life and the makeup of my heart…I felt the power of Jesus and for me that could only have happened by seeing what Tim presented.Since that day in May I have not missed a Mass.”
A statue of Christ weeping human tears and bleeding human blood.Multiple communion hosts tested by science that transformed into human heartLady being filmed & tested before, during, and after Stigmata+ Much more:The meaning of suffering. Why be Catholic after all the corruption? Are all Religions the same? Why confess sins to a man when he might be just as sinful? etc.....
This is a LIVE presentation hosted by Tim Francis. Few things you will hear and see:

Pray for Those in the ServicePlease continue to remember our military and their families in your prayers.
Lord Jesus, Savior of the World and King of Peace, watch over our sons and daughters in the service of their country. Protect them from the physical and moral dangers of military life. Keep them close to You and help them live the commandments.Lord Jesus, give them the courage to serve their country with honor and dignity. Be with them when they are in danger; strengthen them when they face hardships. Above all, Lord, grant that when their service is finished, they may return to us sound in body and soul.Amen.

Outreach to the Poor
Outreach To The PoorThank you for your support of the Outreach to the Poor ministries at St. John Neumann!
Thank youThe following letter was sent to the Outreach to the Poor ministry at St. John Neumann, and serves as a reminder that small acts of generosity can lead to great fruit. Thank you again for being generous in all aspects of life, and for your support of our ministries here at SJN.
Dear St. Johns, Two and a half years ago, your church stepped up and gave generously to my father, Richard Simmons, whose wife passed away and was in dire financial straits and having no money to even pay for her cremation. You gave him $600.00 to do so when he was facing foreclosure on his home. On 8/6/21, my father passed away at 88 years old. I have not forgotten your faithfulness and now I would like to return the $600.00 plus an additional $600.00 so that you can bless others who are in need. The Lord has blessed me and my family and wanted to pay things forward. The Lord is always in control and the last three years have strengthened my faith in dealing with my father and moving him three times. Unknown strangers suddenly appeared to help with no expectation of anything in return. Two weeks ago when cleaning out my father’s apartment, we gave a missionary from Russia who was moving back to Columbus many of my father’s household furniture and belongings. Many prayers were answered that weekend and for that I’m truly grateful. My father tried to be a good and faithful servant, but later in his life he lost his way with what was most important ... his family and serving others. I’m trying to break that chain and hoping this donation will do that. In Christ, Richard
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! St. Vincent de Paul – St. John Neumann Conference and Deacon Carl wish to thank all of the walkers, donors and those who provided support for the Walk for the Poor on September 25th. Through your generous support, we were able to raise $2,209.25. These funds stay with our conference to assist in fulfilling our mission to help those in need.
St. Joseph’s Cathedral Backdoor Ministry Sock, Hat and Glove Drive, October 10-18, 2021This ministry serves the homeless and vulnerable population in downtown Columbus. Those served are
