He made us all one body with Him. We were all given different gifts; we all have different yet equally valuable roles to play in the Body of Christ. Ask God how He wants you to use your gifts so that we may all “be one” in this Year of Mercy. Dynamic Catholic, Alive! – Introducing the Year of Study As part of Dynamic Catholic, Alive, 2016 will be devoted to study. Matthew Kelly talks about the Genius of Catholicism, the intellectual riches produced by centuries of saints and scholars. We encourage you to learn as much as possible about the faith this year. Do you have a Catholic study Bible and Catechism? The Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is a great starting resource. We have lists of recommended books at archstl.org/dynamic.

THIS WEEK’S READINGS: Listening to the readings proclaimed today, it will become apparent that God intends for the Good News of salvation to be shared by everyone. From the expansive vision of Isaiah to the radical inclusion of Saint Paul, we are to understand that the journey of the magi is one that we all can undertake. The signs are there, in the heavens and in God’s word. Let us all pack our bags and seek the Lord wherever the journey takes us.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What “recalculation” of my schedule or priorities must I make to answer the challenge of today’s Gospel to chart a direct route to a personal encounter with God-made-flesh?

God's Family, Our Family Today is the feast of the Holy Family but it's also the feast of all families. We all have families. We're all called to be holy. More to the point, we're all God's children and a part of His family, whether we're married or single, parent or child. And like the obedient children He calls us to be, let us remember the “rules” of this holy family: Wives and husbands, be submissive to each other. Love one another. Parents, listen to each other and to your children. Young people, don't nag your fathers or mothers. Parents and children, husbands and wives, forgive each other's faults. The wonder and joy of being a family comes when we follow the example of the Holy Family, being kind and loving, generous and patient toward each other, keeping faith with each other and with God.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION is held on the First Friday of each month from 9 am -5:45 pm at which time there is Benediction. PLEASE TRY TO FIND TIME IN YOUR DAY TO SPEND SOME PRAYER TIME WITH THE LORD, EXPOSED IN THE BLESSED EUCHARIST on this one day a month! *Note changed date due to holiday – January 8th.
