WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN
• Your organization has a vision for a more sustainable future but you are not achieving it.
• Your organization’s culture is not able to evolve fast enough to keep up with what you need to learn and to create.
• Not everyone in your organization is aligned with, and working toward, the same vision.
• Your organization does not collaborate effectively internally, and externally with your partners, to achieve your business goals.
These statements often reflect the situations in which organizations find themselves when they need to transition from obsolete to new models of management, operation and leadership.
The tension that exists between an organization’s existing state and its desired state provides an opportunity for its leaders to explore the motivations for change and the constraints that prevent a new vision from being realized.
Typically, such an exploration and change process will require:
• A deep understanding of the nature of the complex challenges faced by the organization;
• The practice of systemic tools and frameworks that engage multiple stakeholders in learning conversations aiming at deepening the understanding and reframing of the challenges;
• The development of a culture of innovation grounded in trust, reciprocal relationships, and creative leadership.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
This workshop is for leaders, managers, and entrepreneurs in all industries who want to develop their leadership skills and awaken their inner wisdom to improve their capacity for creative vision and foresight and their capability to lead transformative change in complex environments.
This workshop will empower you to become a more effective leader and change agent. Our goal is to equip you with the most advanced systemic approaches for leading change and innovation. The processes, frameworks and tools that will be presented are derived from research in the fields of complexity, biology, psychology, sociology, education and organizational sciences.
YOU WILL LEARN
• To see the complex challenges you face with “new eyes”.
• To diagnose a complex situation and uncover the structural dynamics and cultural norms that constrain it.
• To mobilize your organization to address complex challenges in a collaborative way.
• To lead more effectively by redefining the role of leadership in today’s complex organizational world.
• To design generative and collaborative strategies for change.

• Create a vivid image of the future system thriving.
3. Analyze the System
• Identify and appreciate the constraints that prevent us from achieving the changes we want to see.
• Map the innovation ecosystem and explore its possible evolution.
4. Uncover Emerging Solutions
• Listen for new insights and learning.
• Explore possible scenarios for the future.
• Develop new personal and leadership competencies.
5. Develop Prototypes and Action Steps
• Learn frameworks and tools for successful transformative engagements.
• Design generative and collaborative strategies for change.
6. Anchor the learning
• Choose specific approaches and methods to continue your learning and growth.
• Develop and tell the story of the ‘new’ leader you want to become.
THE LEARNING APPROACH
This learning journey, presented above in a very comprehensive way, will be redesigned at the beginning of the workshop to meet the specific needs of the participants.
The workshop will gather a group of 6 to 12 leaders who will engage in deep collective reflection and will support each other in addressing both their personal transformation as well as creating innovative strategies to overcome professional challenges.
The models and frameworks that we will learn and practice include:
• Systemic thinking
• Individual and organizational learning
• Deep inquiry
• Active listening
• Dialogue
• Collective intelligence
• Organizational creativity
• Transformative leadership
• Stakeholder engagement process design
• Ecosystem mapping
• Story telling
The participants will spend most of the time experimenting with and applying the above models and frameworks on their own work situation and challenges. This work will be done both individually and in teams.

OUR VENUE
We have chosen to host this unique four-‐day workshop in the verdant setting of Quercy, in South West France, ninety minutes north of Toulouse airport. Winding through the Quercy is the River Lot, with its rocky plateau “Causse,” Neolithic stones, cave paintings and dry-‐stone “gariottes” [shepherd’s huts]. All this is our theater. We'll tap into the energy of the land and its habitats—a co-‐created place which has shaped the people and that the people have shaped since time out of mind.
The core retreat is hosted at Beatrice’s family’s country property, nurtured by generations and carrying the rich history of her family over the centuries. The property includes all the modern comforts, while keeping its original style and charm.

ABOUT YOUR HOSTS
Bryan Ungard joined The Decurion Corporation, Los Angeles, USA, in 2006 as its Chief Information Officer and is now the company’s Chief Operating Officer. As Decurion’s COO, Bryan is directly accountable for how the operations of its businesses realize the purpose of the company, which is to provide places for people to flourish.
A company with over 1,200 employees, Decurion owns and operates a portfolio of businesses including movie theaters, commercial real estate, and senior living facilities. Decurion operates its businesses so that there is no tradeoff between excellent business performance and human flourishing.
The firm has developed an operating philosophy and an operational model that puts the principles of meaning, learning, growth, wholeness, and community into action in the daily operations of the businesses. Decurion has realized that by focusing on how the businesses can flourish it can create the conditions for the people to flourish as well.
Bryan brings more than 30 years of experience in technology, business, and organizational transformation. He co-‐founded and served for more than 15 years as partner and principal consultant of Silenus Group, a systems integration company that provided systems and services to large companies such as IBM, Ford, La-‐Z-‐Boy, and Caterpillar in addition to numerous small and medium-‐sized businesses.
Through building and running his own company Bryan saw firsthand the pervasive ineffectiveness of organizations to perform excellently. He also became increasingly aware of how rare it was for people to grow and flourish in business organizations. Beginning in 2004, Bryan became deeply involved in exploring new ways of thinking about organizations, human development, and breakthrough performance and began his practice in organizational transformation. Bryan now knows through personal experience that businesses can be a place of profound learning and growth, for individuals, the learning community, and the whole organization. He also knows that transforming an organization into such a place requires different ways of thinking, different leadership skills, and different operational methods. Bryan believes that there is an emerging wave of organizations that are determined to create, in their own way, places for people to flourish and to make a difference in the world.
Bryan received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Hiram College and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He has two children and lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
