WE WELCOME YOU Have you been away from the Church for a while? Perhaps life became too busy, or you had a bad experience. Whatever the reason, we are glad you are reconnecting and we welcome you! You can be sure there are others who have walked this path and would be happy to listen to your story or help get an-swers to any questions you might have. Just call Shaugh at (937)254-6233 or email [email protected] and let him know you are interested.

CONGRATULATIONS (AGAIN) MR. AND MRS. BROWN!

On Wednesday June 27th Aaron and Ja-mie Brown, who both entered into the Catholic faith family this past Easter, convalidated their marriage in the Catholic Church! As Fr. Satish mentioned to them, the Church recognizes the civil marriage that al-ready exists before they entered into the Church. What the convalidation does is the civil marriage is “sacramentalized.” The marriage is elevated from a contract to a covenant. The sac-ramental marriage reflects the love God has for each of us. Congratulations Aaron and Jamie with your convalidation! And thank you for your joyful witness of God’s love shared through your marriage and family to our faith communi-ty!

INVITE A FRIEND TO JOIN THE CATHOLIC COMMUNITY!

Have you had family or friends ask you about your Catholic faith? Or do you know someone who is seeking something deeper in their lives? Invite them to explore the Catholic faith through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). People who are unbaptized or who have been baptized in another faith but wish to become Catholic are invited to learn about the faith, encoun-

ter Jesus Christ and His love in prayer and liturgical worship, and lead a life of discipleship sup-ported by the faith community. If you or someone you know is interested contact Shaughn Phillips at [email protected] or at 254-6233 to learn more about being initiated into the church. Inquiry sessions about Catholicism begin at the end of August.

I have come that you may have life

and have it to the full.” John 10:10.
