THE PROFESSION OF FAITH: THE NICENE CREED — 7:00 AM: ALL: We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven

and earth, of all that is seen or unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in Being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the Scriptures; He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, Who proceeds from the Father. With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

INTERCESSIONS — FORM D: Leader: Our Heavenly Father has promised through our Lord Jesus Christ to

hear us when we pray in faith. Let us therefore pray for the Church and the World, and let us thank God for His goodness.

We pray for the Church of God in every place; especially for this Diocese, our Bishops Drexel, Laish, Gilbert and Michael, and all the people of God.

ALL: Strengthen Your Church to carry forward the work of Christ; that we and all who confess Your Name may unite in truth, live together in Your love, and reveal Your glory to the world.

Leader: We pray for our country, for Arthur, our Governor-General, Hubert, our Prime Minister; Perry, our Leader of the Opposition; and for all the nations of the world, and for all peoples in their various callings.

ALL: Direct this nation and all nations in the ways of justice and truth. Give wisdom to all in positions of public trust and authority; that they may promote the prosperity, godliness and peace of Your people everywhere.

Leader: We pray for our own community, for this parish, for our families, friends, and all who live and work with us.

ALL: Give grace to all our friends and neighbours in Christ, that we may serve Him in one another and grow together in His love.

Leader: We pray for the poor, the sick, the unemployed, the handicapped all who have requested our prayers and all who seek the prayers of the Church in their time of trouble.

THE COWBOY AND THE PREACHER One Sunday, a cowboy went to church. When he entered, he saw that he and the preacher were the only ones present. The preacher asked the cowboy if he wanted him to go ahead and preach. The cowboy said, "I'm not too smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I'd feed him." So the minister began his sermon. One hour passed, then two hours, then two-and-a-half hours. The preacher finally finished and came down to ask the cowboy how he had liked the sermon. The cowboy answered slowly, "Well, I'm not very smart, but if I went to feed my cattle and only one showed up, I sure wouldn't feed him all the hay."

HONOR THY BROTHER A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin, 5, and Ryan, 3. The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson. If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, "Let my brother have the first pancake. I can wait." Kevin turned to his younger brother and said, "Ryan, you be Jesus."

Father in Heaven, You have made us for Yourself; our hearts are restless until they rest in You. Fulfill this longing through Jesus, the Bread of Life, so that we may witness to Him Who alone satisfies the hungers of the human family. PRAYER AT THE TIME OF TRANSITION: Celebrant: O God, by Your grace You have called us in this Diocese to a goodly

fellowship of faith. Bless our retiring Bishop, Drexel, and our incoming Bishop, Laish, and all of our clergy and people. Grant that Your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, Your sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received.

Remove from us any encumbrances or sin that restrict us, and increase within us Your reconciling love. Pour out upon us Your Spirit of peace and of unity. Make us receptive to the guidance of Your Holy Spirit as we journey onward. Renew our vision, energy and passion for Your work and ministry. Fashion our lives according to the example of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and help us to show the power of Your love to all among whom we live; through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What a wondrous time is Spring When all the trees are budding. The birds begin to sing, The flowers start their blooming. That's how it is with God's love, Once you've experienced it, You want to sing, it's fresh like spring, You want to pass it on.

I wish for you my friend This happiness that I've found You can depend on Him It matters not where your bound. I'll shout it from the mountain top I want the world to know The Lord of Love has come to me I want to pass it on.
