Prayer is the foundation of our Faith and the foundation of Stewardship. Pray in good times and in bad. Prayer is always the first best option in any situation, not just the last resort. Pray for

friends and family and for those that don’t treat you very well. Pray to give praise, to thank and to ask God for help. Pray to see what

God wants you to do with the gifts He has given you.

Fr. Joseph and the Bazaar Committee have made the difficult decision to cancel the annual Bazaar and

Raffle. This fundraising effort is so important to the financial well-being of our parish that we would like to propose an “unbazaar bazaar.” We ask that you still

donate for underwriting as you normally would. If 400 families can donate $250, we can still raise

$100,000 without all the expense we usually have. We are grateful for those that can donate more than the

$250, but we also know that any sacrifice is precious so we express our profound appreciation for donations of

Beware of popular scam! Fr. Joseph would like to inform everyone that there have been people sending out fake emails and texts saying that he is requesting them to buy gift cards for him. Fr. Joseph would never ask parishioners to purchase gift cards for him. This is a scam! If you look closely at the email, it is not the cor-rect email address for him. We hear about this type of scam all the time. They are preying on Christians to appeal to your generous nature and desire to help our pastor. Please do not respond at all to these emails or texts.

Demand has been great recently and we could use items such as: meal-type soups, stew, chili, canned fruits and meats, tuna, macaroni &cheese, canned pasta like spaghetti meatballs, ravioli & spaghetti franks, crackers, jelly, cookies, rice, ramen noodles, pasta sauce, juice, cereal, canned or boxed milk, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant. Baskets are provided in the narthex for your non-perishable and non expired donations. Thank you so much for helping us to maintain the parish emergency food pantry for our neighbors. The Gabriel Project helps mothers experiencing a crisis pregnancy by offering Christian love and practical solutions at the parish level. You may donate directly through the church office or donate electronically through the parish website all year around. You may also bring any of the following items to the church office, tax receipt available on request. Do you have gently used or new baby items or clothing you can donate? We are always in need of the following items:

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), also called the Catechumenate, is a spiritual process and the formation steps one takes to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church; that is, to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. St. Francis de Sales parish offers guidance, formation, and religious education for all who desire to know about the Catholic faith, beliefs, and practices. We welcome the following persons: An adult wishing to inquire about becoming Catholic A baptized adult from another Christian faith wishing to

inquire about the Catholic faith A baptized Catholic adult who has not received the Sacra-

ments of Reconciliation, Eucharist and/or Confirmation A non-practicing Catholic wishing to return.

If you are out of work and in need of food, we have a basic food pantry here at St. Francis. We have basic items like canned vegeta-bles, soup, tuna, canned fruit, mac and cheese, and cereal. We do not have any fresh meat, fruit, or baked goods. We ask that people only come once a month to be fair to everyone.
