Newsletter No 15
Thursday 20th December
Dear Parents,
I can’t believe it is time for the last newsletter of 2018! What a fantastic, busy and successful Autumn term it
has been here at St Francis. The children have made great progress, showed good enthusiasm with their
learning and enjoyed many trips and visitors. It was lovely to read their highlights on the Autumn Term on
their end of term reports.
This week’s highlight for me was the Year 5 and Year 6 Christmas Carol Service which took place at All
Saints Church on Tuesday. The church was full to absolute capacity and the children did us all proud with
their confident reading and singing. A special mention must be made to our 3 soloists: Herb who played his
clarinet, Malachi who entertained us on his saxophone and Lewi who finished with a rendition of Little
Donkey on his flute. It is such a courageous thing to do; stand up and play a solo in front of such of huge
crowd – well done boys.
I would like to say thank you for all your continued support and help over the last year and I look forward to
seeing you all in 2019. I wish you all a very merry Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
Best wishes,
Hannah Stevens
Headteacher
