LEASE/OPERATION
BANQUET HALLS, KITCHEN AND OUTDOOR PATIO
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church seeks to identify interested
parties to enter into a lease agreement to operate and manage the
Banquet Facilities and brand new, state of the art kitchen which was
recently completed.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE
St. Demetrios church was built in 1988 to serve the Greek Orthodox
community of Greater Fort Lauderdale. The adjacent banquet facility
was built in 1976 to serve church related events, community affairs and
church related programs.
In 2013, the kitchen facility was totally renovated with brand new
equipment; in addition, the smaller banquet hall was added based on
the assessed needs of the parish.
The church and adjacent facilities are centrally located in a residential
area, Victoria Park, with easy access off Sunrise Blvd and US1.

RESTROOMS: 2 of each on the east side and the north side
OPERATING PARAMETERS AND EXPECTATIONS
1. UTILITIES: Separate meters for electric, gas and telephone
2. TYPE OF FOOD: Understanding of the Greek traditional cuisine for
Church events and for business purposes the operator could
develop menus with international flair.
3. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES: Operator must own liquor or
wine/beer license; all applicable legal requirements must be met
and observed for service.
4. OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE: The operator must maintain
the facility in compliance with all relevant federal, state and local
rules and regulations including cleanliness and sanitation
practices.
5. MARKETING OF THE FACILITY: Operator will be responsible for
marketing, advertising and promoting the facility and outside
catering events to all interested.
6. COMMUNICATION: Operator and the Church office will establish a
communication calendar and the information that needs to be
shared.
10. CHURCH INTERNAL EVENTS: A list of events with specific
dates and times will be provided to the Operator annually,
including the dates of the Festival that the facilities or portion of
the facilities will be used.
