St. Clement Catholic School
Blessing for a New Year
Loving God
Extend your blessing over our families this New Year
May our schools be filled with love, joy and hope
Let trespasses be forgiven
Let wounds be healed
Let conflict melt into harmony
May our children grow in knowledge, understanding and wisdom
May they be strong in mind, body and Spirit
May they have courage for follow your ways
Finally dear God
May home, parish and school work together
To create a world where our children
Can help build a community of love
Winter Weather Requires Winter Clothing! It is important that children come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Unless it is raining or the temperature is extremely cold (as per TCDSB cold weather protocols), children will be going outside to get fresh air and exercise.
Here are some important recommendations for all students:
All students need to wear wintercoats & snow pants
Children need to have appropriate
winter hats, gloves and scarves to
keep them warm
All students need to have outdoorshoes (i.e. water‐ proof boots)
When inside the school, children
need a second pair of shoes;
indoor shoes help to ensure that
class‐ rooms remain clean and
ensure that students’ feet are
clean and dry
Play structure is temporarily closed.
As we now enter the latter half of the
winter season the play structure will be
closed for safety reasons.

(January 2016)
Happy New Year! We hope that all of you had a lovely Christmas season with your families! The winter weather
has finally arrived… and so it seems fitting that we’re planning the first annual St. Clement Skating Night! This fun
family event is going to be held at the West Mall (outdoor) rink on Sunday, January 24th at 6:30pm. Look for more
information coming home shortly!
Wintertime also brings our ever-popular annual Movie Night, which will take place on Friday, February 5th. The
children are already voting on the movie of their choice… so mark your calendars! Further details about the event
will be sent home in the coming weeks.
Now that the busy-ness of Christmas is behind us, we’re also back to thinking about QSP! Pick-a-prize forms will be
coming home in your child’s backpack by next week. Be sure to fill in your selected choice and return the form by
the due date.
For those who are participating, don’t forget that this month’s Pizza Lunches are being held on Friday, January 8th
and Friday, January 29th. This month’s Subway Lunch will take place on Thursday, January 21st. The pizza form, for
orders between February and June, has now gone home and must be returned by January 15th.
We would also like to inform all parents of a new CSPC policy. In order to reduce our bank charges, CSPC would like
to encourage parents to make payments to CSPC in cash whenever possible (particularly for amounts under $25.00).
We thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Finally, our January CSPC meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 19th at 7:00pm with lots of interesting issues to
discuss. Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
Sincerely……………Your CSPC Team
