FRANCISCAN CORNER

This week is the holiest week of the year. It’s called “Holy

Week” for a reason. At the end of the week, we celebrate

the Triduum—Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Satur-

day. This year, we will celebrate in our homes and watch on

TV. St. Francis returned from his island to celebrate Holy

Week. He returns knowing what it is like to rely solely on

God. He’s had a deep experience of God. He knows God’s

unconditional love. During our Lenten journey, have we

known God’s unconditional love? During Holy Week, as we

are under a “stay-home” order, perhaps we can set aside

times for prayer, set aside time to really be with our God.

Let’s let God be God and wrap his arms around us and hear

him say, “I will never abandon you, trust Me!”
