There are nearly 1 billion people around the world who are hungry. Children are especially vulnerable to the effects of hunger and malnourishment. We can be part of the hunger solution. One act of kindness can change somebody else’s life.

Please make a donation to Feed My Starving Children. Place your donation in one of the specially marked buckets in the Gathering Space. We will take cash, coins, checks (made payable to St. Cecilia & put “FMSC” in the memo line). Track our progress toward our goal on the posters in the Gathering Space.

GRIEF SUPPORT FOR ADULTS “No one ever told me that grief felt so much like fear”...C.S. Eliot

St. Cecilia Ministry of Care and Bereavement will again have a grief support program for adults, “The Healing Journey” which will begin on April 12, 2018. This six week program is open to adult men and

women, who have suffered the loss of a friend or relative through death. The group will meet at 6:30-8:00 PM in the Bernardin Room of Church on the following Thursdays…

April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 10, 17 Grief work is hard and it hurts. At times you may feel like you are emotionally out of control. People say you should be “over it by now”, but you’re not. You may be angry, depressed and/or confused. A support group helps you understand that your feelings are normal, guides you in understanding the grief process, and gives you a “safe place”, a confidential setting where what is said stays in the room. If you would like to join us or have questions please call or e-mail:

Fran Ficker at 847-437-6152 or [email protected]

Fill out the form below and mail it to her attention at St. Cecilia or

drop it in the weekly collection basket.

You will receive a call before the first session. If you were in a previous group and are having a set back, you are welcome to joins us again.
