Prayer Before Mass Come, Holy Spirit, quiet my heart and my head, as I gather with my family, friends and neighbors to celebrate Mass. Quiet the

thoughts and distractions that will keep me from worship. Open my mouth in prayer and song. Open my ears to hear God’s word. Open my eyes to the mystery of the Eucharist. Open my heart to receive Jesus with love. May I go forth strengthened to take the Mass into my life this week. In a special way, we pray for our

twinning parish, St. Mary’s in Uxbridge. Amen.

World Day for Consecrated Life We celebrated World Day for Consecrated Life this past weekend. Please continue to

pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life. May

they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation. We pray in a special way for Sister

Susie, Sister Rena Mae, Sister Michele, Sister Hilda and Sister Judith.

5th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) The generosity of being a good steward of your gifts has a positive effect on people,

and it is contagious! Good works encourage more good works. Let your light shine! Be careful to recognize that God is working through you and don’t put yourself above the people you have been called to help.

Coats for All – a Free Coat Giveaway The Sacred Heart of Milford Parish Religious Education Office will be holding a free coat give away for anyone in need of warm winter coats. Adult and children’s sizes

are available. This year’s coat give-away will be held on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 12-3 pm in the former

Milford Catholic school building at 11 East Main Street, Milford (side entrance near church elevator). If you would like to donate a coat that you no longer need,

donations are being accepted at this location on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 9 am to 11:30 am. Please call

Social Justice Committee The focus of the SJC is on education regarding the care

of the Earth in line with Laudato Si'. At present they are exploring ways to continue their efforts in line with

the Diocesan Environmental efforts. They meet the second Tuesday of every month in the Lower

Church. Their next meeting will be held February 11th at 6pm. All are welcome!
