Men, Looking for Some Encouragement? For eight years, our monthly Men’s Group has provided a respectful, honest forum for our men to grow in Catholic faith and Christian love. Our conversation begins with the Sunday gospel text, then moves on to our experience of trying to live in integrity and generosity. All our men are welcome to the Group, which meets the third Saturday of each month, 8:00—9:15 am in the Parish Center. Next conversation: April 18. Questions? Contact Fr. Bill.

Consoling the Heart of Jesus. “ The Lord remembered us in our low estate, for his mercy endures forever”. (Psalms 136:23) Our merciful Lord also calls for us to trust completely in Him. If you are looking for a way to learn more about the Lord’s mercy, His desire for our trust in Him, and how your suffering helps you to grow closer to the Sacred Heart, then please consider participating in this 10 week long book study. It is offered evenings and mornings. The evening group begins 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 22 and the morning group begins 9:30 am on Wednesday, April 23. Facilitated by Tyler and Donna Thompson. For more information, please contact Donna Thompson at [email protected] or 753-7655. “Praise the God of heaven, for his mercy endures forever” (Psalms 136:26).

“One Faith, One Hope, One Love”. As

of March 30, parish members have pledged more than $415,000.00 toward the Archdiocesan capital campaign. We have reached nearly 75% of our $580,000 parish goal. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Page 3: St. Bernadette Church

From Fr. Bill Stockelman

Some of you may be wondering, “What is this ‘One Faith’ Campaign?” For the first time in sixty years, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is undertaking a substantial effort to make us a better diocese and every parish a better parish. During 2015, One Faith, One Hope, One Love hopes to raise $130 mill in pledges payable over 3-5 years. Half that amount will be directed toward Catholic education: tuition assistance; principal, teachers, catechist training. Other portions of the $130 mill will help to fund Catholic Charities; tuition assistance for seminarians, permanent deacon candidates, and lay persons who study at the Athenaeum; supporting retired diocesan priests. 20% will be returned to St. Bernadette for our needs (supporting a part-time Pastoral Associate when we and St. Thomas More share a pastor; faith formation of adults and youngsters). Every parish will participate; every Catholic will be invited to consider participation in this once-in-a-lifetime

challenge and opportunity. Please graciously welcome our parish volunteers who will be contacting you in the weeks to

come. Thank you.
