Our chaplaincy team

The chaplaincy team take part regularly in helping to organise collect acts of worship and prayer in school.

We currently have four children on the team, Elizabeth, Taggie, Coco and Elena, who can be identified by their badges if you need their help.

They prepare the prayer space each morning ready for collective worship, using artefacts, visual aids and music. They also deliver collective worship on Wednesday afternoons, to the whole school, based on the Wednesday Word gospel and reflections.

They help the younger children to prepare class collective worship, and meet every Tuesday to plan their liturgy. They sometimes help prepare special Masses, for example the Welcome Mass for our new pupils and staff at the start of the year and liturgies such as the distribution of Ashes at the start of Lent. They meet with our school chaplain, Father Bede and the Head of School to share ideas and ask for any support they need. Their main aim at the moment is to coach other pupils in the skills they have learned to enable even more members of our school to lead in collective worship.
