OSIAMO DIRE "PADRE" Alessandro Pronzato

Osiamo dire "Padre", anche se... ci deludi, se le cose vanno male e tu non intervieni. Anche se il male ci colpisce a tradimento e tu non fai nulla per impedirlo. Ci ostiniamo a invocarti come "Padre" anche se gridiamo e tu non rispondi, ci perdiamo e tu non ci lanci un segnale, anche se abbiamo bisogno di un abbraccio e tu ti neghi.

Continuiamo a chiamarti "Padre" anche se molti di noi sperimentano la tua assenza, anche se le nostre domande rimangono senza risposta. Abbiamo esaurito tutte le parole per dire la nostra fame, la sete, la disperazione, la paura, la solitudine. Ci resta quell'unica parola da spendere: "Padre" e tuttavia ci sembra che quella parola non funzioni pi, sia come una moneta fuori corso, una chiave fuori uso.

O forse, non basta dire "Padre", ma bisogna dirlo nel modo appropriato. Probabilmente non abbiamo esaurito tutte le parole. Ne conserviamo altre nel nostro vocabolario di figli diventati troppo sapienti. E tu aspetti che ce ne liberiamo. Che disimpariamo a parlare da adulti, e ritroviamo il balbettio del bambino che a stento riesce a farfugliare un'unica parola.

Tu aspetti pazientemente che tiriamo fuori dal cuore quell'unica parola-balbettamento per dire la nostra fede: "Abb..."

Allora sapremo semplicemente che ci sei. Che quella parola unica ha avuto il potere, non di attirare la tua attenzione, ma di ferirti. La scoperta fondamentale non quella della potenza del padre, ma della sua debolezza, della sua vulnerabilit. Tutto certo rester come prima. Problemi, fastidi, interrogativi, incidenti, incomprensioni, delusioni, macigni che non si spostano...ma se ne sar anata la paura.

S. Tu sei un Padre che non si stanca di aspettare che i figli crescano fino a diventare piccoli. Si decidano a imparare tutto ci che bisogna imparare fino ad arrivare a sapere una parola sola.

Vi ricordiamo cortesemente di pregare per tutti i malati della nostra parrochia grazie.

Rosary Society The Rosarians welcome all women of the Parish. The Soci-ety is dedicated to the Blessed Mother, the growth of the love of God through Mary. We honor the Blessed Mother by the constant and reverent praying of the rosary in our daily life. We are involved in all Parish activities, liturgical and social and keep informed about civic community activities. Spiritual activities include an Annual Retreat, Annual Com-munion Breakfast and Baby Shower for Unwed Mothers. The Society raises money to help our Church continue out-reach efforts. The fundraisers include: Christmas Fair, Bas-ket Night, Chinese Auction. Holy Name Society

Support Groups at St. As Bereavement Support meets on Monday evening from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. In the Nazareth Institute.

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common prob-lem and help others to recover from a gambling problem. Meeting every Friday night at 7:30p.m. in the Nazareth Institute.

Overeaters Anonymous members talk about their struggles with compulsive eating. Meeting every Wednesday night at 8:00p.m. in the Nazareth Insti-tute.

Al-Anon helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend. Recovery International a self help group meets every Thursday 7:30-9:30pm in the Nazareth Institute for nervous people.
