THE LAMB OF GOD
"Behold the Lamb of God!" We hear this phrase every Sunday at Mass, but there's a good chance that many Roman Catholics do not know who in the Bible originally spoke it. The phrase appears only in the Gospel of John, on the lips of John the Baptist, who utters it twice. In today's Gospel reading, John proclaims Jesus as the Lamb of God, and two of John's own disciples then follow Christ. A little bit later Andrew, who heard John and then followed Jesus, brings his brother Simon to be re-named Cephas, or Peter. A careful look at these Bible verses shows us the mission of everyone baptized into the Body of Christ: we must always proclaim our faith in Christ, so that others will follow him. We may not know how the will of God might work through those we bring to Christ; that is not the point. The point is that our ongoing mission as a church is to bring others to Christ, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

St. Anne’s Teams of Our Lady
We are a movement of “Married
Spirituality” which brings together Christian couples united by the
Sacrament of Marriage; and who wish, together, to deepen the graces of their
Sacrament of Marriage.
A Way to Grow Teams of Our Lady was founded by Fr. Henri Caffarel in France in 1947 and has spread to over 7,000 Teams worldwide. Teams came to the United States in 1958 and today over 650 Teams have been formed. Teams of Our Lady is an officially recognized lay movement by the Holy See under the Pontifical Council for the Laity. All couples have found a way to meet their needs and desires of growing closer in love and faith through Teams of Our Lady. A team is a group of five to seven couples that meet once a month to share, pray and discuss the challenges of living a Christian marriage and life. What couples find is support for one another and for their marriage. Christian Marriage: Gift and Calling Marriage is challenging; whether newlyweds, raising a family, or empty nesters, the call to grow closer together in love is ever present. Yet in today’s busy society, with forces and stresses that can undermine both marriage and faith, where can couples find the time to connect not only with one another, but with Christ? Team couples strive to live out Endeavors, which assist in their spiritual growth as a couple and as an individual. The Endeavors are slowly introduced over the course of many meetings and are easy to incorporate into daily life.
What are the Endeavors?
Daily personal, couple and family prayer Regular reading and reflection on the Bible
Attending an annual retreat as a Team Having a monthly ‘sit down’ as a couple to
discuss spiritual and family matters Following a personal ‘rule of life’
