PRAYER TIME is listed two times a day on the calendar above. One of the times is 7 pm in hopes that your entire family will sit down
together for a time of prayer. If you are alone in your home, call a friend and pray with them. Then, Monday - Saturday you will notice
the prayer time is listed at 9 am. Take time to lift up a prayer! Start reading a chapter in the Bible, begin going through your church
directory praying for one another, or even try journaling - possibly a “Thanks” journal. Stay close to God and one another through
prayer!

SCHOLARSHIP INFO
WORSHIP NEWS
Well, it is late in the game yet the process for St. Andrew’s Foundation scholarships for next fall has begun. We are sorry for the tardiness but the coronavirus has slowed down everything. However, the time is now short!
The Anderson scholarship is for first-semester freshmen and the Drennan scholarship is for students who have completed 24 credit hours by June 1, 2020.
Applications are available on the St. Andrew’s website (saintandy.org/about/st-andrews-foundation). The deadline for applications have changed to June 10, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact Martha Pate at [email protected] or text her at (409) 718-1150.
During the Session Meeting on May 19, (conducted virtually), the Session designated Sunday, June 14 as the TENTATIVE date for the return of in-person worship services at St. Andrew’s. The next couple of weeks are needed to consider, and with God's guidance and help, implement the many necessary safety steps which must be accomplished to restart in person Worship Services. Those steps may include: coordination of entry into the Sanctuary by Members and visitors in which each person's temperature is taken by digital scan, disinfecting and sanitation of the Sanctuary before and after worship, providing enough space between each person (other than families) to maintain adequate social distance, avoiding interactions such as handshakes or hugs, providing face masks for those persons who desire to wear a mask and concluding the Worship Service in a manner that allows worshipers to leave without congregating in the aisles or exits. The next several weeks will require volunteers to accomplish these tasks. Thank you in advance for your prayers, cooperation and assistance. We look forward to safely seeing all of you.
Bruce Partain, Worship Team Chair
**Please be on the look out for an email and or physical letter explaining our new procedures on how to make in person services flow smoothly while following regulated guidelines.

Every woman sitting in the pew has a story to share of God s faithfulness in her life, and women love nothing more than to hear a good story and to delight in the sisterhood of believers. This 12-session Bible study for women goes and tells what God has done in the lives of real women in the church today.
The Women of Grace Sunday group has met on Zoom and are discussing options for meeting again soon. Right before isolation began, we started this new book, Pew Sisters. We are ready to get back together and continue our study and fellowship. Please contact Charlotte Schwarzlose at 409-782-5896 if you would like to join us in this study.
The Pastor Search Committee has completed a short video for The Vanderbloemen Team, thanks to the videography skills of Cory Neyland. We are now hoping the search process will move forward and we will be meeting new pastor candidates sooner than later!

JULIE’S JOURNEY
DAY SCHOOL NEWS We are so excited to announce we had little "ANGELS"
return to the halls and classrooms of the Day School on June 2nd. There are many new policies in place to
protect the health and safety of our students and
staff. Please be in prayer as we embrace our New Normal.
Deanna Weitzel, Day School Director
Psalm 121 was given the title Assurance of God’s Protection. The
Psalmist David gives us a vivid picture of his relationship with God.
A man after God’s own heart, as David was referred to by his
heavenly father, expressed his faith in God as the ultimate provider
of all his needs.
Last year about this time we ran a series for the front page of our
church newsletter. This series was to bring hope and assurance as
we sought a new pastor. I thought it would be a good time to run
this series again.
GOD IS WITH THIS CHURCH AT ALL TIMES!
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
GOD PLANS GOOD OUT OF THIS TRANSISTION!
“We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
GOD’S MINISTRY CONTINUES EVEN DURING TRANSISTION!
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And
remember; I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
GOD CALL HIS PEOPLE TO LIVE IN UNITY WITH ONE ANOTHER! “… by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement and that there be no
divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.” 1 Corinthians 1:10
We also provided a prayer guide for you during this time of our pastor search. It continues to be available to you on our website, in the church office, by email, or by mail. Be diligent in your prayers for our church, the search team, Vanderbloemen, and the pastor that God is preparing for us.

FROM THE TREASURER Thanks to each of you who have mailed in your tithes and offerings and to those
who have made their contributions online. It is very helpful during this time. If you
would continue mailing or paying them online until we get further along in this
process, it will be greatly appreciated.
I’d also like to let you all know that we received funds from the Small Business
Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program. This money will go towards payroll
for the church and the day school as well as utilities. If you need to speak with me for any reason or have any questions, please leave a message at 409-201-4561, and I will get back to you.
Thank you,
Bruce Burnside, St. Andrew’s Treasurer

ZOOM MEETING INFORMATION
Every Tuesday and Thursday, members of St. Andrew’s are meeting via a ZOOM meeting just to hang
out virtually, laugh and encourage each other. This can be done with a computer or smart phone. Julie sends out an invitation email before the meetings occur. All you have to do is click on the link in
the email. This opens up a window. If ZOOM is not downloaded on your computer, a download
should automatically start. Once the program is downloaded, a message will prompt you to enter the meeting ID. This information is found in the email. You may want to write it down so you can enter it
(unless you can copy and paste it easily). When you’re in the meeting, you’ll start seeing friendly
faces and hearing their voices. Some people keep their audio muted, unless they’re asked to talk, as to keep background noise at a minimum. If you’d like to practice ahead of time, please contact Julie.
