Silver Saints Ministry Hosts Inaugural Social GatheringThe Revd Anne Jaikaran

The Silver Saintshad theirinaugural social gathering onWednesday, October 31st. Afterattending the 10:30am weeklyEucharist, a hearty lunch ofhomemade soup, sandwiches anddesserts was enjoyed by all.

Pat Fergusonfirst spoke to thegroup about the training he hasbegun to become a Parish Nurseand received a very positivereception about this exciting newministry. The meeting then

moved into a time of opendiscussion about the types of activities people would be interested in participating in.

Suggestions included:sharing ameal together, bringinghandiwork to work on, playingboard games and/or card games,creating a book/movie club, tripsto concerts, trips to places ofworship, hosting guest speakersand sing-a-longs.

A group of parishionerscommitted to this ministry willwork together to see how to makeat least some of this list a reality.In the meantime, it was agreedthat the group should hold aChristmas Lunch and Carol Sing-a-Longon Wednesday, December 11thto which everyone isinvited. Please plan to attend and sign up on the sheet in the narthex.
