Pre-Registration
for Sunday Mass
to continue
There is no limit on how many people we
can have at Mass but we have to maintain
strict social distancing. For Sunday
Masses, you will need to continue to pre-
register. Online registrations begin
Tuesday morning at 6:00 am for the
coming Sunday Masses. We can also use
the Hall for Sunday Masses. For Weekday
Masses just show up and sign in when you
arrive. If for some reason you can’t make it
for the Sunday Mass you signed up for,
please be considerate enough to indicate the
change, and make your spot available for
others. Instructions are provided on the
website on how to do this. You can only
sign up for yourself and your immediate
family living with you. You cannot sign up
for relatives or friends. After Sunday
Masses, if you can help sanitize the pews as
well as the chairs in the Hall, it would be
very much appreciated.

Please continue to practice all safety
protocols including the wearing of face
Confessions
To make Confession more accessible, Fr.
Steven has set up a kneeler in the back
sacristy and will hear confessions 20
minutes before each Mass - as well as Saturdays from 4:00 to 4:55 pm. Please
note that confessions end 5 minutes before
Mass is to begin. Fr. Steven will sanitize
the kneeler after each penitent.
World Day
for
Grandparents
and the Elderly
this Sunday
Earlier this year, Pope Francis established
the World Day for Grandparents and the
Elderly, which will be held every year on
the 4th Sunday in July, near the Feast of
Saints Joachim and Anne. The theme
announced by his Holiness Pope Francis for
the first World Day for Grandparents and
the Elderly on Sunday July 25th, is “I am
with you always” (Mt. 28:20). Please
consider doing something special for your
grandparents or some elderly people you
might know. This is something similar to
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
New Petition
Regarding the
Tabernacle
Some parishioners have undertaken an
initiative to have Our Eucharistic Lord
moved to the centre of the church. Other
parishioners have expressed opposition to
moving the tabernacle to the centre. The
Parish Council, in the interest of genuine
fairness, would like to have a new petition
for both options, starting at the same time.
We will make this available once we post
some of the pros and cons of each option, as
well as a cost estimate of moving the
tabernacle to the centre. We are in the
process of acquiring this information. Those
who have already signed either petition
will need to sign again.
Ushers to monitor
Holy Communions
We have had issues with individuals
walking away with the Eucharist.
Unfortunately, Satanists will pose as pious
parishioners in order to steal the Eucharist
and to use those Hosts in satanic rituals,
expressing their hatred for Jesus Christ, truly
present in the Eucharist. To help prevent
this from happening, please be sure to
consume in such a way that it is evident
that you have consumed the Host, before
returning to your pew. The ushers will
come forward during Sunday Communion
time to help ensure no one walks away with
a Consecrated Host.
Society of
St. Vincent
de Paul
“Put your trust in the Lord and following
His example, always act humbly, graciously,
and in good faith”.......St. Vincent de Paul
As a community, let us commit ourselves to
reach out to those in need. Your
contribution to the POOR BOX, which is a
gift of your concern and generosity, is very
important to the Society. The Society of
SVP counts on your support.
Please remember the POOR BOX on your
way out of the Church. Thank you for your
help.

Shrine
Pilgrim Statue

Mary
The Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of the
Cape, Queen of Intercessors, Queen of
Canada will be visiting St. Aidan’s Parish
and will be at all the Masses on the
weekend of August 7th and 8th, 2021.
Annually, groups from our parish organize a
pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Cape Shrine.
However, this was not possible in 2020 and
2021 due to COVID-19. It is a blessing to
have Our Lady visit the pilgrims of St.
Aidan's Parish. Mark your calendars, come
and honour Our Blessed Mother.
Please maintain physical distance; wearing a
face covering is mandatory.
